1 in 4 women across Europe have experienced domestic violence. 800,000 women in Poland face physical abuse each year, with 150 annual deaths attributed to this.
Its a shame on Poland that the courts don't support these women. I have heard of a solicitor who went to court 3 or 4 times to get a restraining order and on the last occasion her partner murdered her. The judge said she should have made a better case.
Unless there is a substantial change in thinking in Poland's courts it's not going to help a great deal. I've also have first hand experience of how the Police deal with this kind of thing in Poland and mostly they don't. Too much paperwork for them.
