let's hope today's bombing in Minsk wasn't paid by that 90 million euros raised for Belarus opposition :(

I really hope so too.

Gut feeling is that it's another Chechen attack, though. Belarus scrapped border controls with Russia a while ago - so they'd be able to get in/out easily.

Chechen? In Belarus?! Belarus has 2 main enemies - Poland and Russia.

It's quite possible - Russian security has been so incredibly beefed up, but Belarus has been pretty weak in terms of guarding against terrorism. What better than to strike terror not only into Russians, but also Russia's friends?

Poland (and Poles) presumably wouldn't get involved with such nonsense, while Russia would hardly take to bombing a vassal.

Why that? Do you have personally any vital interest?

Don't think so. They offer suport to catch the assasin and the ties with Belarous seem to me quite strong. Furthermore the Russian intelligence services seem to click quite well and they will not allow any kind of bs close to their borders, whatever the motivation of those distracters might be and from where the money keeps flowing.

It is a ****** practise to give monies to any country opposition, provided that said country is not under foreign sway.

Nothing wrong with Lukashenko...Poles would be better off raising money so they can finish the Warsaw metro.

Why not? They're happy to blow up their own people.

what do people think of external broadcasts like European Radio for Belarus (68.24mhz)?
i've come to be very sceptical of the "radio free europe" type organisations calling for people to rise up while knowing that no help will be given and the protestors will be massacred.

don't get me wrong Lukashenko is a cancer on Central europe and his treatment of Belarus' Poles is disgraceful
