So now the insults start.
You are a poor loser jon.

Can we focus on the subject please and avoid personal remarks

You have a possibly unique definition of 'insults' JohnnyReb and I re-iterate that your 'friends' in America or elsewhere have little or nothing to do with what we do here in Poland. Apart from the lunatic fringe (and I use the word "lunatic" advisedly, given some of the displays of behaviour which indeed lead to arrests and psychiatric assessment) most people here are too well mannered to comment on the lifestyles of others and fortunately yes, Poland does respect the rights of its LG residents.

Poland does respect the rights of its LG residents.

Then why to gays repeatedly get their asses kicked in Poland if that is a blanket statement for all gays.
Sorry jon, you are very weak on that statement.
And AGAIN jon, being gay is not a democratic right anywhere, including Poland.

When I was on a visit in the North of England some years ago, our British host (a devoted member of the Anglican church btw) observed "these days no one wants to marry, these days it is only gay people who are keen on marrying). And there was something about it, indeed. As far as marriage is concerned, gay people tend to mimic something that is inherent to the union of man and woman as these two individuals together are potentially ably to concept a new life. This has nothing to do with "rights" or "hatred" or "free speech" or "gay parade". This is a purely biological fact which has nothing to do with any "church" or "LGTB" and no one, gay or straight, is able to overcome this. As simple as this and because of this gay marriage makes no sense.

On the other hand, gay people should be granted the right to form a union in the name of law, but it shouldn't be called "marriage".

Not true johnny reb. The Poland you are talking about is definitely not the Poland I live in today. If there are 5-6 isolated incidents per year and that isn't enough to draw a conclusion like your have.

In Poland, the person at the highest risk of being physically assaulted in general is someone carrying the wrong football club slogan at the wrong time and in the wrong place, regardless of that person's sexual orientation.

That is simply untrue. I wonder where you get that daft idea from.

inherent to the union of man and woman as these two individuals together are potentially ably to concept a new life.

Following that 'logic' a fertility test should be performed before any wedding and anyone unable to conceive even with medical treatment

should be granted the right to form a union in the name of law, but it shouldn't be called "marriage".

Of course we all know the answer but need more resources, examples, personal experiences...

We all know... Who knows what? But need exemples, personal exeriences... What for? Everybody should deal with their personal matters in their own way... sexual life is a very personal matter.

Can you exlain me what democracy has to do with all this?

Remember when i said that the revindications will NOT STOP at only gay marriage, but actually once they have it, they will ask for more and more until total destruction of the model of family, society and religion?

So, this weekend in Brazil, the gay parliamentarys PROHIBITED a walk during Corpus Christi. Instead, they allowed a Gay Parade where, among other things, people pee and defecated on Maria'statues, shoved crosses inside their asses and displayed a travestite crucified in a truck written "Jesus was an homossexual".

But still the retarded brazilians (sad to say that while i was also born there) tought that allowing gay marriage 10 years ago was enough. But now they just lost their country and they have fear to exercise their religion.

That post is pure paranoia. And what people in some third-world country half way across the globe get up to is everything to to with political dialogue in their own country and nothing to do with the spirit of tolerance and respect for human rights in Poland.

"That post is pure paranoia."

If this HAPPENED in Reality, how can it be Paranoia?

"And what people in some third-world country half way across the globe "

This happened in Sao Paulo, place with development and income standards similar (slightly higher) than Poland. And that is the biggest problem: those that surrender to political correctness dictatorship often are the most educated one, sadly.

"nothing to do with the spirit of tolerance and respect for human rights in Poland."

It have EVERYTHING to do with Poland, since this still can be avoided in Poland if people dont believe in that LIE that the gays just want to marry. Because in EVERY COUNTRY where they conquered this right, it doesnt stopped there. And it will not stop until they destroy what they want to destroy: the traditional model of family and religiosity.

If it offends you so much, you are welcome to shove a rainbow up yours :)

The stuff you are talking about will never happen in Poland and probably didn't happen anywhere else.

"If it offends you so much, you are welcome to shove a rainbow up yours"

Actually i am not. If i burn a rainbow in Brazil, Sweden or France, i will be called homophobic, prosecuted and put in Jail.

The same doesnt apply when a gay burn a cross or put it inside through his esfincter.

"The stuff you are talking about will never happen in Poland and probably didn't happen anywhere else."

In February gay activists entered Notre Dame Cathedral in France to protest. Naked.

In France. A country that ALLOWS gay marriage.
And there are inumerous other examples.

At the beginning people said exactly what you said "this will never happen here". Now they cannot complain, their country is gone and if those that disagree with political correctness dictatorship say something or express themselves, they will be called homophobic and be sent to jail.

Just like in France. Or Brazil. Or Sweden. Or many other countries. It is naive think that in Poland they dont want to do the same take over.

All sorts of people protest naked for all sorts of causes in all sorts of places, it is not unique to gay activists and it is not a big deal. They are not hurting anyone.

If it offend you then don't watch. You can even contact your representative and tell him/her how you feel about it if you live in a democratic country.

On the other hand homophobic (as well as xenophonic, the two tend to come as a package together with the absence of motivation to do anything useful with one's life) activists almost always resort to physical violence. Even in Poland ultra-nationalist protests end in violence virtually all the time. They just have this urge to burn the rainbow like this rainbow is a pickle up their backsides and the sole reason why they are collectively such failures.

"All sorts of people protest naked for all sorts of causes in all sorts of places, it is not unique to gay activists and it is not a big deal. They are not hurting anyone."

So if some of them want to protest showing their penises naked in the front of your kids, you are ok with that because they are not hurting anyone?

"If it offend you then don't watch"

WATCH? Which part of "they invaded a church to protest naked inside it" you didnt understood?

Or you are saying that people should leave the church to the gays make their naked protest in peace?

Fine with me. Would you prefer Polish police shot them in the same way naked protesters in a certain country are shot?
johnny reb 18 | 3,771
9 Jun 2015 #137
Fine with me.
That would be the quickest way to cure this cancer.
The threads title has nothing to do with democracy or respect.
It should read: Does Poland guarantee Gays and Lesbo's civil rights ?
And the answer to that is, Poland's culture being what it is, Hell No.

They are not hurting anyone.

Yes they are, it is not only a direct attack on christianity but also a culture.

If it offend you then don't watch.

How about if you are offended move to a cesspit where it is allowed so my children don't have to watch. :-)

On the other hand homophobic with the absence of motivation to do anything useful with one's life

That is because in your eyes only worldly desires are important and you are clueless to the reason you were
put here on this earth by your Creator who gave you the free choice to either have "motivation" to live by
His words or die by his words. (Born twice, die once.)
For people like you who do not believe in eternity it is very understandable why you think promoting
something that is clearly an attack on christianity (our beliefs) and culture as a whole is o.k.
This whole thread boils down to rightousness morality that believers live by verses the worldly desires of
immoral behavior that the unbelievers want to promote with their "Progressive" thinking justification that if it feels good and I am not hurting anyone then it is o.k. lie.

This is nothing more than believers v.s. non believers or should I say the war against christianity.

I would rather my kids see naked people than see people having their heads chopped off, like what happened in Szczecin where very recently a priest made a group of kid watch...

Find for me any text in your "Bible" that gives you the right to treat people differently based on their sexual orientation.

The war on Christianity exists only in your head and paranoid few like you. I recommend therapy but of course you won't do that because science to you is the work of the devil. Luckily the numbers of your likes are dwindling :)

"Find for me any text in your "Bible" that gives you the right to treat people differently based on their sexual orientation."

I dont treat gays differently. I am just against the PRIVILEGES that they are asking.

Again: if i burn a rainbow i am called homophobic.

Still, people like you clap hands and like when gay activists burn crosses or put then inside their anuses like they did last week.

The gays are the ones that are privileged and protected by the dictatorship of political correctness.
Harry

I am just against the PRIVILEGES that they are asking.

Here in Poland they aren't asking for privileges.
Same-sex marriage is not gay privilege: it's equal rights. Privilege would be something like gay people not paying taxes. Like churches don't.

An isolated incident is not the norm and to use it for an example only shows how desperate you are for a justification for a comparison.

Find for me any text in your "Bible" that gives you the right to treat people differently based on their sexual orientation.

Yes, try Revelations 21:8, these are not my brothers in Christ so I am not required to treat them the same.
I will condense it for you since you no doubt don't own the HandBook to Life, "the unbelieving, the vile,
the sexually immoral - their place will be in the lake of fire of burning sulfer."

The war on Christianity exists only in your head

Trying telling that to the christians that are being murdered every day just because they are christian.

Luckily the numbers of your likes are dwindling

That is prophesised also in end times. Want me to quote that for you too from the bible ?

Same-sex marriage is not gay privilege: it's equal rights.

Wrong Harry, it is an impossibility to have a same sex marriage as marriage is defined as a union between a man and woman so therefore it is NOT a right.

Why does that keep going over you short people's head. Is it because it blows your "Progressive"
thinking/demands out of the water ?
Harry
9 Jun 2015 #142
marriage is defined as a union between a man and woman

In some places, some of which are in your country, it is sometimes more accurately defined as a union between a man and a child, a definition supported by the RCC, which sees nothing wrong with men marrying children (see Can. 1083 §1). Poland rejects that definition.

And just as Poland is free to reject the definition of marriage which says marriage can be legalised paedophilia, Poland is free to reject the definition of marriage as being between people of different sexes.

One would think such a post by Polsyr is in complete violation of the rules.
I guess since this is now o.k. that I will reply to, Does democratic Poland guarantee it's LGBT citizens respect for human and civil rights? and take my chances as to get a warning for posting Off Topic.

This ought to be rich............lol

it is sometimes more accurately defined as a union between a man and a child

No Harry, go get yourself a dictionary.....a man and a woman.

the definition of marriage which says marriage can be legalised paedophilia,

where in the dictionary does it say that ?

Poland is free to reject the definition of marriage as being between people of different sexes.

Yes they are but since "Poland" hasn't you are stuck with it so deal with it.
Since when can a country change the meaning of a word in the dictionary for the convenience of "Progressive" thinking ? LOL

my kids see naked people

The decadence of lascivious homo parades including sodomistic simulation are only further inciting a terrorist backlash and bringing closer the collapse of Western de-civilisation.
The war on Christianity is very real and twin-pronged: from leftist liberal Christophobes in the West and religious (Muslim, Hindu) fanatics in the East. Every year between 100,000 and 160,000 people are killed because of their Christian faith. If that isn't a war on Christianity, what is?

@Levi: As to naked Gays Inside Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, once again you are telling lies. I know France very well for having lived many years there, speak French like a native thereof, follow French news on a daily basis and nothing of the sort has ever happened. You may be confused with those Femen women but nothing to do with Gays... Get your stories "straight" ;).

Obviously you don't know anything about Poland, about France, about UK, and about most places so please do not invent things.

@Polsyr: agreed with you 100%, it is purely being paranoid. In Ireland a lot of Catholics have voted in favor to the gay mariage, which prove that most Catholics do not feel "attacked" by gays. In any given society, gays are about 1.5 to 2% so to think they are a threat is completely being mentally sick.

I feel sorry for kids who happen to have parents such as PF members. I have heard the case of a gay guy in Poland who had to flee from home because his father tried to strangle him several times during his sleep.... Unfortunately he is not the only case.... How sickening but when parents are so backwards, kids are in serious danger.

@Levi: why do you invent events that have never happened? I have checked as contrary to you, I know France and French language and nothing of the sort did ever happen (why should gays complain in France since they have equal rights???). According to what I have read, Femem Ukrainian organization fighting against all religions did show up at Notre Dame to protest agains the pope.

You told us that a Polish woman had been beheaded by her muslim husband and here again nothing on the net.

Why are you such a liar?

Pitiful!

gays are about 1.5 to 2%

That's true but their LGTB propaganda machine is lavishly bankrolled by powerful corporate media and entertainment (celebrity) circles, giving them brainwashing potential far beyond theri actual numbers. And it's not just about gay rights but about attacking the rest of society who believe in married heterosexual families with children. Already last year in Poland the Education Ministry under pressure from the homo lobby reportedly stopped inviting traditional families to review school textbooks. They prefer to portray so-called "alterrnative" minority family arrangements, so things are now getting to be homo-normative.

@Polonius: some heavily Catholic societies, such as Ireland have legalized or are strongly in favor of same sex marriage. How do you explain? ;). At the time they had the vote in Ireland, a lot ,of Catholics there, including priests and nuns were in favor of the "yes" because of equality and they were right; democratic societies cannot have first, second, third, fourth .. class citizens.

Sure some celebrities talk in favor of gays but how can you feel threatened by such minorities? They only want equality and that's all.

Such hysteria against gays is similar to those against Jews and against Blacks and is not rational.

"Live and let live"! Nobody forces you to be gay so let them live: If you dared hanging around gays, you would discover that you've been wrong about them and that they can be true friends but the problem is that gays do not want to hang around homophobes ;)

In conclusion Poland for the most part respects the rights of LGBT citizens, and the minority that don't are not in Poland. We invite them to come to Poland where they will be treated to rainbow colored cupcakes.
