Poland blocks any action on climate change

Global warming and climate change should not be the issue here even if they're not a hoax.

It's sad and frustrating reading about the unnecessary health and safety problem in Poland such as the extreme air pollution.

Polish people seem quite smart. Do the majority not care about their long-term health? It's just appalling that people burn trash in the fireplace.

Do the majority not care about their long-term health?

It's a bit more complicated than that. Poles still perceive themselves as 'poor', and so despicable practices such as burning rubbish are still routine. There's no reason for it, but people do it because it's also a way to save money - you don't pay for garbage disposal services, so you save 120 Euro a year, and instead, you chuck it all into your furnace and get 'free' heating as well.

The problem is widespread among middle class suburbia.

Is the trash and coal burning done in houses only or do apartment units in Poland also have fireplaces?
delphiandomine 88 | 18,131

Depends, older apartments can have furnaces too. Many are getting converted to gas, but there's still an issue of lack of funds to complete the job.

do apartment units in Poland also have fireplaces?

Yes they do. More cultured people live in those:) :) Seriously, those flats are curiously expensive, and the plastic would damage the multi-fuel stove.

an issue of lack of funds

Yeah. Because the government refuse to shell out 80 percent of the cost in grants, because they want to push coal.

Its a cultural thing that takes place mostly in the countryside. Hell i burn all my old paperwork and garbage mail too.

I have only one message for the global warming crowd: do what you want, die, go to the moon, have another GW conference at the South Pole, but f*** off the US taxpayers' money because we ain't got any. Besides, if you need money, turn on the presses and print as many euros as you need. Problem solved. That was easy.

for the global warming crowd:

You mean the overwhelming majority of scientists.

I have only one message

They will of course listen to some guy on a forum.

You mean the overwhelming majority of scientists.

Cute little bait...
Did you know that every prostitute loves her pimp? And that every GW "scientist" loves his paycheck? It's amazing how it works.
As those were rhetorical questions (at least I admitted it), what was the purpose of that sentence?
I am not questioning that climate is changing. In fact, not a single person on this earth does. Trump included. That "science" is closed. All I want is that the overwhelming majority of who**es for hire and Gores look elsewhere for money. F*** off of us - the Americans. Trump was so right.

You mean the overwhelming majority of scientists.

Remember that in 1972 an international conference of UN bureaucrats, economists and scientists produced such a [bugger] document as "The Limits of Growth" where they've tried to predict the future of the Earth up to year 2072 e.g.

"population, food production, industrialization, pollution, and consumption of nonrenewable natural resources".

No credible scientist would take that paper seriously by the early 90's. And as of 2019 it became just a laughing stock.

You mean the overwhelming majority of scientists.

And those majority of scientists have yet to substantiate, with proof anything, from scientific evidence using FACTS
The only thing that is believable is the amount of heat trapping gases emitted into Earth's Oceans and atmosphere will prevent the next ice age, which otherwise would begin in around 50,000 years, and likely more glacial cycles.

And if in 50,000 years humans can not figure out how to cool the oceans we may all have to take spaceships to Mars to live.

Right now, however, it is minus -60F below zero (minus -50C) in Chicago so it is very hard to convince people when we are seeing six feet thick ice on the Great Lakes.

A lot of the smaller lakes in Minnesota are freezing right to the bottom.

Oh, common, man. I was hopping to drag it out for a little longer before that kill you just delivered.
The bigger and still unanswered question is: how is it possible to be a scientist with more degrees than I have pimples on my ass and be a complete moron at the same time?

I need to research this.

Jan Kochanowski, a great Polish poet has penetrated this truth as early as in XVI century in his epigrams :-)

"Ziemię pomierzył i głębokie morze,

Wie, jako wstają i zachodzą zorze;

Wiatrom rozumie, praktykuje komu,

A sam nie widzi, że ma kurwę w domu."

I'll take their scientific opinion over your internet warblings...
Rich Mazur 4 | 3,053

A ten-year-old girl would be too smart to post something so sophomoric.
It's not our internet "warblings". It's THEIR OWN IDIOTIC (on record) claims from the past that are at odds with reality today. Duh!

I'll take their scientific opinion

O.k. jon, you do that and I hope you stick to those "opinions".
Here those same scientists opinions (who changed their tune) when they were ask for facts.
And for the love of Mary please don't reply with some lame excuse like, "well consider the source" or some other redirect you are so famous for.

jon face the facts and admit you are wrong for once. (something you have never done here)
Here is my source, where is yours to counter it ?
americanfreepress.net/climate-change-hoax-exposed/

Oh in case you don't want to google it then I will do it for you.

The recently released report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is comprised of an international group of scientists sponsored by the United Nations (UN), is extremely alarmist in nature, despite the fact that numerous top climate scientists have admitted that many of their "global warming" predictions were wrong or seriously exaggerated.

scientists

Generally, with science, listen to the scientists, with medicine, listen to the doctors, with economics, listen to the economists.

Of course it could all be a big conspiracy, the biggest in history, with tens of thousands of researchers colluding...

Generally, with science, listen to the scientists,

There are scientists and there are scientists on payroll or grants. The difference is the same as between a lover and a prostitute. So, don't make me laugh anymore, please.

Besides, what do those "scientists" say? That climate is changing? No s***. Even Caligula knew that.
But I will give a chance to redeem yourself. You can explain what happened to the global cooling we were promised some 50 or so years ago. Then, we can continue.

There are scientists and there are scientists on payroll or grants.

There are scientists.

Stop trying to relativise.

those "scientists"

'those' scientists...

But I will give a chance to redeem yourself.

There you go again...
Rich Mazur 4 | 3,053
30 Jan 2019 #260
OK, spit it out. What do those "scientists" claim that is worth a dime? That climate changes?
Did you catch that brilliant sentence of mine with Caligula in it? Or did you decide to ignore it?

He's not going to touch it as he is very well aware that he has no bullets to shoot back with.

Generally, with science, listen to the scientists,

Yeah - so what is your point when the scientists admitted the following.

top climate scientists have admitted that many of their "global warming" predictions were wrong or seriously exaggerated.

So we listen to the scientists and so did other scientists.
So again, what's your meaningless point ?

Of course it could all be a big conspiracy,

Are you aware of how many people got VERY rich off this hoax including some scientists ?
Take Al Gore who now is a BILLIONAIRE because of him promoting it.
Millions and millions were made off it world wide jon.
And the Snowflakes (useful idiots) were hoodwinked by this propaganda.
Now be a man and say, "I guess I was wrong."

Feel free to be in the odd minority who deny the very real fact of man-made climate change.

It is a conclusion based on observations of a great many global indicators, accepted by the overwhelming majority of scientists, the vast majority of whom have no vested financial interest in the theory.

But hey, some guy on the internet pretends it's a hoax.
Rich Mazur 4 | 3,053

Feel free to be in the odd minority who deny the very real fact of man-made climate change.

OK. Let's assume that we contribute to the climate change, which nobody ever denied. Even Caligula.

First, what is our contribution to the overall numbers? An estimate in percent will do fine. No essays.
Second, is there a plan those scientists propose that does not include transferring the American money to other countries? Yes/no will do.
Third, do you like the idea of exempting China and India from the rules that the US would have to observe? Yes/no will be appreciated.

So, let's have an intelligent dialog on your terms.

Are you out of deflections?

Nope, he has now deflected from Global Warming to Climate Change. lol

But hey, some guy on the internet pretends it's a hoax.

It wasn't 'some guy' jon, it was your buddies the scientists themselves.
I wish I was sitting there beside you and we could read along together...... "despite the fact that numerous top climate scientists have admitted that many of their "global warming" predictions were wrong or seriously exaggerated. Refer to Post #256.

As for your attempt to belittle me with your "odd minority" comment showed you are scraping the bottom of your barrel again.
Liberals favorite tactic is to start with such insults followed by nasty words when they are losing a debate.

Something that should be embarrassing when one is older than 3.
Still, I am going to hold my breath and wait for a post in reply to mine above. The one with three easy to answer questions.

...he has now deflected from Global Warming to Climate Change. lol That's what the Flat Earth nuts did when they said, Hey, we always agreed that the earth is round.

Idk about you, but if global warming is a fact i hope it picks up. Id love it if by next year people in the northern hemiphere could go sunbathing in january. Thatd be awesome.

Now if the leftists had the stones to stop letting turd worlders in just because they dont have the intellectual capacity to figure out how to cope with a few degrees higher temps itd be even better. Itd force them to finally figure **** out themselves instead of relying on white saviors all the time and thered be tons that wouldnt make the cut. Global warming could be the savior of europeans.
Rich Mazur 4 | 3,053
30 Jan 2019 #269
but if global warming is a fact

It is so much not a fact that even the "scientists" switched to climate change. All 93% of them. Why spread lies about global warming if they can get their grants to research climate change. Duh!

Next: grants to prove that Sun is hot. After that, that the moon is rock, not cheese.
