If you think that Russia is an innocent party that wants live in peaceful harmony with its neighbours is a naive, uneducated fool. Or Russian.

Putins wants to rebuild the Russian Empire by recapturing it's lost lands, which includes the land that the 'country' of Poland occupy. In the Rusian mind,Poland-like Ukraine - doesn't exist, except as an invention by the West.

So many points of view but in the end decided somewhere else by others. Just going to have to see how this plays out with trump and putin. Spectator sport.

Hell bent at fermenting war with Russia at all costs

And don't think Putin doesn't know this.

Sorry to say buddy but I am not real optimistic about it.
I just hope neither are stupid enough to push the red button.

McCain is currently attempting to block the nomination of Tillerson ( Exxon's former CEO) as secretary of state.

This man wants to undo Russia sanctions, which would be worth 500 billion to Exxon and probably a Trillion $ for the Russian state

grist.org/briefly/exxonmobil-could-reap-as-much-as-1-trillion-under-trump-report-says/

Peace loving Russia is spending near 10% of its Gdp on rebuilding it's military. Money that comes from exporting oil.
Russia produced 1.5 mbp day in 1991, with the help of Western technology that increased to over 10 million barrels per day ($180 billion /year).

However , without the lifting of sanctions that figure will rapidly reduced as over extraction destroys the productive capability and the RESERVES of oil.

Without the immediate removalue of sanctions Russia will lose access to its oil reserves for decades.

This is why McCain is a 'Evil War Monger', because he wants to stop the money flow to rebuild the Russian Empire.

Peeweeher,

- No one is saying Russians are saints. Both are manipulative super powers with different approaches

- McCain has met with and posed for pictures with legit Ukrainian SS/Nazi sympathizers. I personally don't feel an aging war prisoner should still have such global influence

Attempting to justify Russia with fabricated attacks on McCain and Ukraine are not aceptable.

I don't think you should be given an opinion, freedom of space doesn't exist in Russia, don't exploit it here to push Russia's Fascist agenda.

One thing could be good from this, if there could be time and peace. Anglos now rule Poland entirely, not Russia. Maybe now Poles and Russians, as people, can start their historical reconciliation (sure, if foreign factor don`t prevent even that).

Sorry Serbia, but as they say "Do tanga trzeba dwojga" (it takes two to tango)

I can't imagine Polish peoplewant reconciliation without admission of past wrongs (far more by Russia against Poland than the reverse).... and Russians don't want to discuss or admit past wrongs. Forgiving someone who doesn't think they've done anything wrong is a waste of time (or worse).

On this one I agree. So, its on Poles and Russians to think on that. They are those two, not you and me. It is Poles and Russians who got chance to analyze what they got from foreigners and what befall them because of their mutual and continual failures.

It's far easier for an American to get into Poland. Ask the average Pole how hard it is to get a visa to the USA.

No argument there however there still are restrictions for Americans.
The only difference is that a lot of Poles don't go back home and stay illegally making it a little harder for them to get a visa.

How is that America's fault ?

Siding with Obama? The global laughing stock

Paul Ryan (Speaker of the House) reiterated his view that Russia "tried to affect our elections by meddling in our elections ... there is no place for that." He said sanctions were called for, and accused the Obama administration of not standing up to Russia over the past eight years, saying it followed "too much of an appeasement policy."

While Trump has called for a closer relationship with Russia, Ryan said, "The Russians are up to no good, we all know that."

Trump will not be as "tolerant" as obama and will be calling on America's allies (NATO) to stand together against this 'menace' of ALL NATO countries.

war in the Ukraine

A cousin of mine from Michigan emailed:
Waddyathink of U.S. troops on Polish soil provoking Putin?

My reply: All he can do is channel his impotent rage into some frustrated, futule rhetoric and saber-rattling. Even when Poland and others joined NATO he wouldn't dare invade, but now with GI boots and hardware on the ground he's scared sh*tless and distressed that his neo-imeprials plans will come to naught. But he's not idiot enough to unleash a nuclear war knowing that would be the end of Russia if not mankind as a whole.

Never in the past millennium has Poland felt this safe and secure. When he annexed Crimea, NATO should have emergency-wise accepted Ukraine into its ranks. That might not have restored Crimea, although it would have provided considerable leverage and certainly would have prevented his crypto-invasion and separatist rebellion in Donbas.

Let assume that you're right and there is no difference. Still, siding with the USA is Poland's best interest. If not for other reason to stem Russian manipulations and overtures toward Poland.

By the way - Russia is not a superpower. They're stupid thinking that way and positioning themselves as US counterweight. lol!
Delusions of the KGB officers has no bounds. The real threat for their territorial integrity comes from China.

Maybe now Poles and Russians, as people, can start their historical reconciliation (

Why don't you go fY. You're repetitive like hell. That is going for years now. Let me put it in the way you will understand. Keep your stupid advice to yourself.

Why don't you reconcile with USA and Kosovo first? eh?. Got it?

The only difference is that a lot of Poles don't go back home and stay illegally making it a little harder for them to get a visa.

Well, some Americans do the same in Poland, i.e. overstay their visa.
The only issue I have with those visas for Poles is the fact that Poland had been singled out. Poland is the only country in the EU that is not covered by the VWP. I'm sure that plenty of Europeans from other countries overstay their visa.

Not to mention that a total number of Poles that overstayed their visa is not more that enters the country from the south every year.

I'm not saying that breaking the law is justified but I'm saying that I cannot see the logic or consistency behind that decision that excluded Poland from the VWP.

I mean if for every 1000 illegal immigrant one would call from Poland at least there is diversity! Not to mention that overall it would made a little difference as to numbers. lol!

sexually deranged

Is that your problem? come to think of it you talk a lot about penises and penetration. Ha! I should have guessed long time ago.

Stop talking about Russia and Poland alliance or whatnot that will not happen short of a cultural and political revolution in Russia that would transform that country into something resembling a normal being rather than Assyrian empire.

Oh he does know people in Poland.

Polly, to my knowledge, had Polish parents, which makes him Polish.

Polly's thing is upholding a kind of mythical ideal of Poland as a bastion of Catholic conservatism, pre-Vatican II style. It's intended for the Pol-Am community really and he lays on a bit thick here to get up the noses of a few other posters.

ANYWAYS....... to get back on topic again.....(Atch)

Russia has criticized US troop deployments in Europe, saying that the deployment of thousands of US soldiers as part of continuous troop rotations to Eastern Europe is "a threat" to Russian security.

"We see it as a threat to us. This is an action that threatens our interests, our security, moreover, this is a third nation (apart from Russia and Poland) that is increasing its military presence near our borders in Europe, and it's not even a European nation."

Earlier this week 4,000 US soldiers arrived in Germany as part of troop rotations to Europe that the Pentagon said are meant to send a clear message to Russia.

My question today is "What Russian interests" and "What does Russia not understand that NATO is made up of some NON - European nations."

to Russia's aggressive activities and bellicose posturing

I really wish I knew what is the cause of your deep delusions & hallucinations...

It seems that the 8 year reign of Obama is the most evident example of the ruling & controlling of the masses in the US by the use of media.

Speaking of Obama...

The man who came to power with a promise: "we will bring the troops home", at the beginning of his mandate, America had been involved in two wars. In the meantime, received the Nobel Prize for Peace and steps down as a president of the country, which currently leads 7 wars around the world.

I think that they gave honest comment. USA involving itself into something. Now, how NATO comprehend itself isn`t Russia`s concern. What they wanted to underline is that before this deployment was one situation (one level of threat to Russia), now occurred new situation (new level of threat) and so they would act accordingly. Meaning, Poland gave its own territory to foreign power that threaten Russian interests and so Russia now don`t have reason to see Poland as Poland, as another Slavic country, just as territory from which is Russia threaten. So, if USA`s and Russia`s relations derogate, Poland is now, by any means, legitimate target for Russian military actions.

Why Poland needed this is behind me.

I sense frustration in you for years.

True. I don`t denied frustration.

Is that your problem?................. Assyrian empire.

Exactly.

As a result of American troops deployment Russians are bringing more weapons to station near to Polish border and especially in Kaliningrad Oblast. Those include 400 km range S-400 Triuph and Bastion system capable of airborne and in sea target within 300 km.

Thanks. Only an idiot feels safer now.

Taking into consideration the expectation that Trump will take a different approach with Russia than Obama - then fine Ill agree it was a worthwhile move. The timing is rushed (with Obama one foot out the door) but politically expected

Would you agree Poland's best position is one of neutrality? In that sense I contribute some "Russian aggressions" to pushing back against NATO meddling
