Afera taśmowa (recordings scandal) in Poland - media coverage

Firstly, with many, many more damaging recordings yet to be made public, one wonders whether the Polish media will (i) report it in brief then concentrate on football results and the weather, or (ii) do the unthinkable and not let the story drop until the unspeakably corrupt and morally bankrupt Platforma fiasco of a party is kicked out of power.

Secondly, will more recordings be released before the elections?

Of course there will be. PO was created by cloak-and-dagger brigades dating back to PRL and now its time to kill that little bastard and create something new. But do not worry my English friends, Petru is in town.

Ha ha! It's been a long time since anyone on this forum made me smile. Petru - the "new" face :)

The "story" is pretty much a non-story.

Oh, we don't worry. We know that voters will consistently reject socialist parties :)

Very much a non-story. And the 'tapes' should never have been made, let alone released. A private conversation is a private conversation. Imagine what would come out if some of the PiS flappers were bugged!

Hopefully all involved will be harshly punished...

I'm sure Putin is quaking at the threats of punishment at your hands, Jon!

Not sure why you are so quickly attribute this to Putin who is almost certainly unaware of it. Unless you have some sort of special knowledge - which you don't since you're just an ordinary Joe and furthermore, just an ordinary Joe without connections or influence.

However punishment there will be. Not at my hands - the wheel of karma is unstoppable,

As you well know, the lowlife who released the tapes will be thoroughly punished as should any of the restaurant staff who were involved.

Basically a non-story. People's private conversations. Eavesdropping is never good.

Although I have not really followed story at the time, I don't think it's such a big deal. Some people were heard saying that "IF x or y, they WOULD do z". In fact nothing has ever happened.

For me, much worse is the Stonoga affair because how did he get the documentation? Who sold it to him? And also, since the parliamentary election campaign has not yet officially started, how can E. Kopacz campaign through Poland on Sate's money? In western countries, it would be a huge scandal. Another scandal for me is that Kukiz with NO program whatsoever could get 20% of the votes and has imposed a referendum (cost: 100 million zl?) nobody cares about.

Most Poles don't care about the Taśmowa so called affair and I understand them.

Latest news, Stonoga has fled Poland

Jestem w drodze do bezpiecznego państwa. Tam się za kilkanaście godzin znajdę. Za chwilę odlatuję poza Europę

I'm on the way to a safe country. You'll find me there in a few hours. In a moment I'm taking off out of Europe

Brave man, running away rather than facing the music.

He's obviously hoping the drama will obfuscate the facts; something not unknown in Polish politics.

Jon hasn't understood that I have connections beyond his wildest imagination - good.

What connections? You've posted so many wild things in the past that one can only assume that your connections are from the same fantasy planet as PiS and their economic policies.

Which reminds me, you haven't provided proof of many of your previous allegations. Could you perhaps do so?

If you thought about it for one little moment, you wouldn't ask the question. "Excuse me, where do you have your inside knowledge from?"

So in other words, you're admitting that it's made up.

It's okay, your masters in PiS do the same.

PiS? Masters? I have nothing to do with THEM! They're daft, but mostly to their credit not taking johnny foreigner's shekel, unlike PO and PSL.

Anyway, wait for the homosexual revelations. Might take a year or two though. Mind you, even then you will say I was only taking a wild guess.
