It bothers me because it makes me drink more than normal. It is unhealthy.

No, it wouldn't bother me. Do you make more than your hubby?

The more money my wife would make the better. Unfortunately she doesn't but in my next life I'm marrying for money.

Doesn't bother me at all. My ex made more money than me for the first few years of my flying career; her making good money was great for us. The fact she's now my ex is totally irrelevant to this subject.

To Sasha - yes, I do, although it varies, as my salary is bonus driven. This does not seem to bothrr my husband, but it does motivate him to progress, he is now thinking about doing MBA. So in a way this works very well for us. But I think it would bother him if difference was big. My husband is not even Polish, i say that because generally in Poland men make more money than women so they are not used to having it other way round. I think times are changing, women are catching up with men in many areas and men haven`t had chance to adapt. So this can cause problems.

This is very rare for a Polka.
Anyway if the husband of a slavic woman makes less money than her he probably has to share her with a King of love.

I haven't actually thought of it. In my family the money I bring are as much mine as hers. I trust my wife and I don't think she will make a bad use of the money. If my wife made more than me, nothing would drastically change, save for that we would have a bigger budget. :) So I would be happy.

Although I live in Russia where the situation of a wife making more than a husband is very rare.

Is it because Russian women marry up?

That is sometimes the case, plus in the society where transformation from Soviet to Russian is still pending (the Russians simply don't have their country at the time) a lower-paid hubby may well be an object of derision.

Southern, I live in South Africa, there is`t too many single Polish men under 50 or over 30 here;-)
I guess I'm just lucky, I work for a good company that pays quite well. I didn't follow my husband to SA, I got transferred by company and we met here.

Not sure what you mean by sharing with 'king of love' but maybe I'm not your typical Slavic woman. For your information, workmarket in SA is shrinking for 'pale males' in SA due to very open and official policies giving preference to blacks (this is called BEEE), perhaps if he was black he would make more :-P

It is obvious why South African economy goes down the toilet.

Yeah, but you kind of can't talk about it without being told that you are racist...

I suspect that these Blacks would prefer some money flow thanks to whites than being entitled for racism allegations.

Sucks not to be able to call the shots anymore hey. Its ony retribution.

but it does motivate him to progress,

Progress....what in a financial manner, you keep earning the money love and let him prgress in his own way, nice to see the tables turned IMO.

Talk of "blacks" aside, my wife occasionally earns more money than me. I don't give a fuck.

Nothing wrong with that. In my profession ( RN ) most of my female -friends are making more than their husbands, boyfriends. I still like to have a husband making more....

No - we both earn quite good salaries, but mine is a bit higher. But I think his "ego" part wants to "equalize" ;)
