krakuskabanos 4 | 43 11 Dec 2009 #1czesc. does anybody know what the rules are if my husband and i would like to get married in a catholic church in poland?i am a philippine national and married my polish husband the urzad stanu in gdansk a few months. now, we'd like to get married in a catholic church somewhere in gdansk or sopot next year - hopefully summer 2010. we are both catholics and we will finish our catholic marriage preparation course by end of january 2010.i would like to know if it's really true that because i am not polish and is not yet fluent in polish, we are not allowed to get married in just any catholic church in poland but we have to get married in a cathedral? is this really true?would appreciate any feedback.cheers.

No problem at all!You are both catholic, you've not been married before (I guess?), you are both following the marriage preparation classes so you can get married in catholic church without any problems. Nationality and the language you speak is no obstacle!Bless you again and your husband as well!
