Bartolome 2 | 1083 20 Nov 2009 / #4It's as obvious as that. Check for the quantity of Tequila you can take with you to Poland without having to pay excessive duty (:
OP ekcampos 3 | 12 20 Nov 2009 / #5Ha, good idea :-) I will have two suitcases. One for shoes and one for Tequila.
pawian 221 | 24284 20 Nov 2009 / #6It's as obvious as that. Check for the quantity of Tequila you can take with you to Poland without having to pay excessive duty (:No need to take salt for Tequilla. There is plenty of it in Poland, from Polish Salt Mines.

Piorun - | 655 21 Nov 2009 / #10Gifts to bring with meOne for shoes and one for Tequila. Can’t go wrong with Tequila, it’s always good.but I'm a little nervous because I'm Mexican.Don’t worry once they have Tequila you will be forgiven.
Bzibzioh 21 Nov 2009 / #11It's always good to let them know that you are interested in Polish traditions - like Wigilia - and planning to include at least some elements in your future home.My nephew had a Scottish girlfriend ones and he invited her home for Wigilia. The gf came dressed in tee shirt and old jeans and said "oh, I'm not hungry, I just stopped on my way at MacDonald's". Well, she is history now!
asik 2 | 220 21 Nov 2009 / #12It looks like her boyfriend (your nephew) wanted to finish the relationship..or he was so stupid not to discuss with her the Wigilia formality and exposed her to people..like you!ekcamposekcamposPeople in Poland would love you for your nice and such an open smile, that's for sure!Just be yourself, that's what counts! Don't try to be a Polish....you have a time to learn things about the culture!I wish you well- you both look amazing!:)

Bzibzioh 21 Nov 2009 / #18It looks like her boyfriend (your nephew) wanted to finish the relationship..or he was so stupid not to discuss with her the Wigilia formalityNo, he didn't want to end the relationship. She knew perfectly well the significance of Wigilia but as she wasn't religious at all she chose to be disrespectful.y and exposed her to people..like you!And what's wrong with people ... like me?
curlyspy007 - | 93 21 Nov 2009 / #19I'm a little nervous because I'm Mexican. I already have the one up as they are extrememly impressed that I have a college degree and a career I love. You look good together, there will always be people that will never understand that love runs more than skin deep but ignorance always seems to raise its ugly head...Keep you head up and dont let this bother you,(not that i know him hehe) but you have a good man there that will protect you from harm. I wish you well for the future and maybe a invite to the wedding i could go with a holiday with my partner..hehehe just kidding...take care..
beckski 12 | 1609 21 Nov 2009 / #20I agree, the two of you make a very handsome couple. Best wishes!(Curlyspy... haven't seen you on the forum in ages!)

bolek 6 | 330 21 Nov 2009 / #22nice of you to speak for all of us, idiot. As a moderator you should better than to name call people, please withdraw that comment, I have no problem with people of any race, the point being poles don't like colored people, thats a fact, just ask around. now please withdraw that nasty comment.
Seanus 15 | 19668 21 Nov 2009 / #23You come across really well, ekcampos. I hope it works out!One more thing, please remember to check with Polish authorities regarding swine flu. I'm not implying anything, I hope, it's just that Polish authorities would like to be sure that you are not a carrier. I say this with knowledge of the complicated position between China and Japan 6.5 years ago.
grethomory 1 | 155 21 Nov 2009 / #24ekcamposI'm a black guy in Chicago and hopefully will be going to Poland next year with some of my Polish friends. We will be going to Krakow. I can't wait.

I would recommend learning a little bit of Polish, they will get so excited that you are trying. It's a beautiful country. This time I want to go when it's not winter!Have fun!
bolek 6 | 330 22 Nov 2009 / #27says who? bolek? you make me laugh.nice I can make you laugh.... I'm not a racist but understand the point I was going to make, the poles don't like Germans, Russians, Ukraines, and Jews, add on Dark skin people, its a fact of life, not all poles but the majority. sorry no hard feelings but stating a point.
McCoy 27 | 1268 22 Nov 2009 / #28its a fact of lifewhom majority of Poles dislike are idiots. so take into consideration leaving/not coming to PL. no hard feelings bolek
ChrisPoland 2 | 123 22 Nov 2009 / #29Good luck with your visit. From my experience the "in-laws" will probably try to feed you a lot and will often give you a second (or third) helping without asking. My advice: Bring some trousers with an elastic waistline.
Bzibzioh 22 Nov 2009 / #30From my experience the "in-laws" will probably try to feed you a lot and will often give you a second (or third) helping without asking.Ha ha, that's so true! And tell you that you are skinny and need to eat more :) Even if you are overweight.
