Poles - what other nationality would you say you are most like?

It seems you, yourself, have formed your own stereotypes. Not all the people in the South (of US) are bad. I can't speak for Levi, but the way I read his comment is that Poles tend to be straightforward and upfront -- maybe a little bit of "salt of the earth." Then again, obviously this doesn't apply to everybody.

One thing I noticed many Poles sure like to complain a lot -- not sure if this is good or bad.

@Y: you are talking to wrong person! I used to live in Atlanta so I know there are OK and great people over there but considering Levi's "way of life", it is obvious that he was refering to rednecks ....

@In Polska Those what you call rednecks are in vast majority GREAT people.Last winter got stuck in the snow in Beckley WV and those "rednecks" were stopping by to ask if I want them to try to pull my semi with their pickup trucks.Among them was even a state trooper (i learned that later) and snow plow came over to me and was spreading ice melt under my wheels.I didn't ask any of those people for help so have some respect for those "rednecks"!

"Not all the people in the South (of US) are bad."

Exactly. Actually, from my own experience, Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma have great people that didn't bend to the political correctness dictatorship.

Just like the Poles.

"it is obvious that he was refering to rednecks ...."

It is really funny that you call people from Alabama racist and then you use a depreciative expression to talk about them.
