Just drove down the shop about 20 km all round trip and the roads are lethal, im staying in for now.

Its snowing so hard i dug out my drive way about (30 meters) and by time i finished the beginning had another 2 inches, not too smart, but hey i was bored anyway.

it's not too bad in the suburb/city areas. a 5km trip home took about ten minutes longer than usual.
if/when it freezes over it will be difficult.
a few drivers seem to be being too careful, but that's their choice and i guess experience showing.
i haven't seen any accidents today.

Tailgating being the big one, but the usual Polish antics of cutting people up and driving aggressively are being seen here. Worse still, I've witnessed someone pull out in front of a truck - talk about stupidity!

Still odd seeing public transport running, though.

very similar to the weather here. we have a little more snow though.

one almost expects it not to be running, but it always is.

Central Warsaw is pretty bad: it's snowing too badly for the ploughs to be anything like about to keep up and the wind is whipping it all about to.

When this freezes tonight we will be fairly well fuccked. And when it goes down to minus 19 tomorrow night (as it is forecast to do), we will all be proper fuccked.

don't you all worry - the Christmas eve's gonna bring thaw - some 4 Celsius in plus - but next couple of days will bring frost again and some snow

It will be a bit sad if we don,t have a white Christmas , but i will be glad of some warmer weather the rest of the time....

At the moment up in Pomerania , its minus 8 , plenty of snow on the ground , and more coming down...

Christmas will be with snow on the ground but amidst a thaw at least during daytime - some rain is possible in Pomorze - there's so much snow now all around Poland it won't possibly thaw in two or three days - i am not sure about night conditions yet - there can be frost or no frost - if thaw conditions persist at nights it's not gonna be a pleasant time - if there is frost at nights road conditions can be pretty dangerous - add possible fog to the equation in thaw condition and slight winds and it sounds even worse

Well, all I can see on the news is record breaking weather all around the world...

I think i'll look into that a bit more, just take the UK i dont know if its official yet but their talking the coldest December since records began.

There are many changes taking place in the climate when one in 200 year rain and flood events occur unseasonally with extreme temperature anomalies, and, well, I'm a little worried.

It can be worrying living here at my place out in teh country when the temp drops -35 and the snow falls so much that you cant even open the front door. It takes me hours to shovel all the snow and get back to being able to simply take the car out.

Then thoughts can run your mind like what if: the temp dropped to -60 and stayed there, what if it snowed hard for a week solid.

Yesterday the ice sheet covering my car was pretty thick, that took about 20 minutes to get rid of.
