Sending a document by Train Post (Poland)

I know I could Google for this, but does anyone know the answer please?

I want to send a document by Train Post (Poland) by handing an envelope to the train guard for collection at the other end of the line. Theoretically this is the fastest form of courier letter service available. Is this a simple process in Poland? Anyone tried this service who can indicate how you go about it please?

Just go to the conductor hand him/her the envelope and 40 pln bills and tell them who will collect it at the other station.then call your recepient with the train number and conductors info.I use to send paperwork from Warsaw to Sidelce and terespol,40 pln will get special attention but you can get away with 20 pln also.people also send money that way in Poland and abroad.

Easy. Make sure that the envelope is addressed with the name of the recipient at the other end, and give them 30zł. You need to be quick (if it's a mid station) - but normally there's enough time to find the conductor and get them to take it. The person on the other end will need their ID to collect the envelope, too. The other thing is to make sure that you have exactly 30zł for the fee, because they might not have time to fool around looking for change.

It's all here - intercity.pl/pl/site/dla-pasazera/3052/przesylki-konduktorskie.html

If you can be bothered, there's a stationary point in Gdynia where you can leave it so you don't need the hassle of meeting the train, and it's 11zł extra for that service.

Thanks very much. So it is "unofficial" business? No paperwork?

No, it's very official. You'll get some sort of receipt for it.

Check the link above, it explains all.
