Seanus 15 | 19,674 7 Feb 2010 #31It's more my wife's kind of music. She's been to a quite a few black metal concerts both here and in Norway. It's not really my type of music but I like some of the symphonic stuff. Satanic just isn't my thing but I love good riffs, irrespective of the type of metal.
Cheery 10 | 126 7 Feb 2010 #34I like Ihsahn, he plays very tricky technical riffs. He's from the Norwegian band Emperor.. I'm sure you know them, one of my favourite bands.BTW, one of the problems I have with Dimmu Borgir is this:youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=BCYgRywdYfYKnow what I mean?
Seanus 15 | 19,674 7 Feb 2010 #35Yeah, some bands can go off the rails but their Progenies song was still well worth listening to.

Seanus 15 | 19,674 25 Dec 2011 #37Arcturus are playing in Katowice on the 14th of Jan. A big name! The lead singer is ex-DB. ICS Vortex is a major name in metal circles.I just wish Windir were still around! RIP ValfarHere in Silesia, metal is popular in a big way! I don't expect to be able to move at the Arcturus gig.
NocyMrok 10 Jul 2015 #38Merged: If You love Poland (and know Polish) - patriotic / historic metal band musicFor Patriots, Poles abroad, Expats, Pol-Ams, Alieno-Poles and whoever else having feelings toward Poland. This is Polish metal band playing patriotic music which is a honey to my ears (no idea if this expression makes any sense in English---neither I care:). Some time ago the only band writing and performing Polish, patriotic songs was Sabaton.... Frankly a Swedish power and heavy metal group. Now we have Horytnica. Dimmed light in the overwhelming darkness. Enjoy!Album treating about the WWII...and the newst one.
