Hey, Poland, how about a little infrastructure?

You're a developing nation, and I love you. Progress takes time, like the formation of a glacier take time, I get it. But these roads suck. And how about a parking space for maybe one outta every THREE cars? And there's too many cars parked up on the sidewalks. Not that I blame them, the actual parking lots are like playing tetris and are sodden messes.

This photo wouldn't have made sense to me before coming here:

And no, this ain't me dissing the great and wonderful PRL. It's just a little outside criticism, and a nudge to get things moving, maybe.

Dunno, Grub. You were the last one leaving Poland, what did it say on YOUR way out? You DO realize the joke is apocryphal, right? It's not supposed to represent an actual Polish road becoming a German one. Oy, vey.

Clap. Clap. Clap. Clap.

Do you think maybe the photo helped illustrate the larger point? I find that it helps sometimes to count to ten before hitting "Post your Message". Saves undo embarrassment.

Then why don't you do that?

The infrastructure is coming with the money. I remember when the A4 motorway stopped at Katowice and picked up again the other side, all that motorway traffic used to feed itself right through the centre. I also remember the A4 (motorway) coming to an abrupt hault about 25km's short of the German border near Gorlitz. That was totally WTF.

Its not a sidewalk its the second parking lane. How long have you been in Poland, Jason.
In Waw they will introduce parking meters in 99% of the centrum by April 2, we just received resident parking today from our admin. I am sure it will be coming to a place near you soon.
