HA, HA, HA.........

ZUS party is the best,
every pest has his nest,
knows nothing about his work,
thinks children are brought by stork.
Come on freebird, time to confess.

well, I did confess. I'm just saying my honest opinion about what I've experienced in Poland and most of you guys just hate me for this :-) I don't understand why you guys getting so defensive over something like that. It's not like I'm saying something wrong about your country.

no, but is like saying the every American is stupid, which is not true. You make generalizations based on your personal experience.

I personally had some really good parties in Poland.

I don't think he's really making generalizations. He just pointed out a problem and chose a provocative way to say it. He describes a tendancy he has been observing.

And well, if you don't agree... it only means you belong to the 20% :)

I never said I don't agree. And no, it doesn't mean I belong to the 20 %. How did you come to that conclusion?

SOme ex-pats are known for complaining about such things over and over again, because they are having problems with dealing with cultural differences. For some reason they neglect to provide the balance in a from of what keeps them in Poland, therefore I think that freebird has made a generalization. I have met many foreigners in Poland and some adjust well, but some don't. One of the reason for the failed adjustment is the need to compare Poland to the country they came from. One cannot, because all countries are different and if one wants to live in Poland, there will do better if they take it for what it is, not for what they want Poland to be.
OP freebird 3 | 532

exactly so

some

doesn't sound like many, :-)

because they are having problems with dealing with cultural differences

I didn't say I have a problem with it

generalization

observation is not the same as generalization

One cannot, because all countries are different

right but in the western part of of Europe it was kind of easier to find people to party with the way I like it. I guess it's just the matter of taste and mentality but some parties in Poland were OK, a couple of them even great.

didn't you think that people in western europe have usually more money so they are in better mood for party. would you by so creative at the party if you wasn't sure if your kids are gonna eat tomorrow because you have financial problems?

i think freebird probably had an issue with the Poles not jumping around trying to show him a good time and just getting on with their party. in situations like that where you seem to be the odd one out not enjoying yourself like everyone else is, a few shots usually sort the problem, be it in Poland or anywhere else. all the Polish parties i went to were a blast, bit too much drinking and singing but that's what it's all about!

I don't know guys. He openly aproves swimming naked, not considering the effect in may have on ones health. That's like one of the craziest things I have heard in my life.

He's one of them nutters, I tell ya! Crazy nutters!

to be the odd one

quite a few of the other guests must have been "the odd ones" then too, :-)

a few shots usually sort the problem

don't like shots, sorry. In general we don't do shots that much at all. It's just not our thing. We do shots (sometimes) but different than vodka (I don't like vodka)

bit too much drinking and singing

too much is the key. I don't need to get wasted just to have a good time. Singing, yes please but not yelling

but that's what it's all about!

if you read my posts before
1.no prob with drinking but a little slower and not over your limit
2.singing but not yelling

He openly aproves swimming naked, not considering the effect in may have on ones health

I haven't even mentioned anything about skinny dipping (swimming naked)

What kind of experiences have you made?

All good, i especially like the vodka parties, just start dont arm wrestling after a belly full of the stuff, that can get nasty.

True.

same to you brother :-)

i especially like the vodka parties

maybe that's why I didn't like most of the parties, I don't like vodka

Lager with a large dash of lemonade on the top.

is it some kind of chicks drink? if i want beer with lemon, i order Corona, but because it tastes like **tamtaramtam** i don't drink it often... haha...

what about adding some colored crap into a beer like in Poland? Sometimes it's green, sometimes red, I don't know how many colors they got.

Zen zay should be lined up against a wall and shot! Dirty barsteward how can you do that do beer? It's bad enough going into an Irish bar and getting a fcuking shamrok on the top of a pint of guiness!

Beer should be beer but it's going the same way as music. Fusions galore!

Desperados is quite good but it is a mixture.

I wasn't thinking the hair of the dog, just normally. Come on, it removes some of the flavour from the Tennents :)

if you can't stomach the bile that is tennants then you shouldn't drink, tops is great is you are strugling with a hangover...but i must be fine if you are drinking!

and yes Kasia, mixed beer is for sissies
