We want to get internet for my wife's mom so we can Skype video chat with her. I have the following questions:

What service would be available in Aleksandrow, can we buy it month by month, I do not want to sign a year or 2 contract (abanonment) ?

Would a play USB wireless modem have enough speed to do skype video?

Thanks

Probably not. You shoud try LTE or HSPA+ from Polsat or Plus. You shoud sign a contract anyway.

Skype through a USB dongle would only reliable for audio hat. For video it would be flaky, but probably viewable.

We would be willing to sign a contract if we know that it works. I don't want her to get stuck with something that doesn't. There is a company that offers internet and phone package. They claim 4mb/s dl and 512k upload. I was thinking of telling her to try zkypeto us video while they are there installing and not to sign documents unless it works. What do you think?

We would be willing to sign a contract if we know that it works.

And if it does not work, you do not pay. The consumer act states that all products and services must be "fit for purpose", otherwise, the contract is void.

I had this problem with Era, they showed me on the computer in the store that I had coverage (2 mb)in my area, it was a complete lie. It was so slow that it took 9 hours to send an e-mail. Although I had signed a 24 month. contract, they had to cancel it
