Sign up to a decent library in your city. There shall also be some shelfs with variety of English-language books, and you may also make friends there ;)

I want books written in English.

This is exactly what I meant.

Better go to the Wojewódzka Biblioteka Publiczna, Narutowicza 4. You may even browse their books online here:
lubicz3.wbp.lublin.pl:8080/search/query?facet_lang=eng&sort=dateCreated&theme=system

Another option would be Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna, Peowiaków 12
mbp.lublin.pl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=39&Itemid=143

Both libraries seem not to be far away from the Graniczna street.

British Council library. Ul. Zuchów 2, Lublin. It's at Marie Curie-Skłodowska University.

Far cheaper to get books from the internet than from bookshops.

Library is a good idea too, but the choice can be somewhat limited

Or download pdf's from the internet. I haven't bought a paper book for reading for fun in ten years now, and even most of the technical books I need are available for free on chomikuj, torrent or emule. Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh! I'm a pirate! But if you still have scruples in these end times, there are plenty of places where you can buy legitimate e-books for very little money, or even download them legally for free.

Dominic, what do mean by "in these end times"?

The period of immorality and wanton debauchery that proceeds the end of the world, when men with scruples will be rare as hens teeth. Parody of fundamentalist Christian speech, used here for humorous effect.

Glad to hear it was used in fun. One religious nutcase is enough for one forum.

I shall pray for you, Roger; and advise the OP that the Dominican chambers in Lublin where people on retreats stay often has a good selection of English books but only on a one-for-one exchange basis, or so I'm told.

The fun part is when some religious people think I've gone way too far, even by their twisted standards, but others jump in to defend me.

Funnily enough you are criticizing someone else standards and calling them twisted. What more twisted than trolling and lying as a way of blowing off steam? Seek professional help.

This is going badly of topic, please respect the OP's thread.
