Hi fellas,

I am so confused about this issue, I am looking for some information about residence and work permits.

First let me explain my situation: I am a non EU (Turkish) citizien has been residing in Poland for 5 months for master studies. I applied for Karta Pobytu as a student 3 months ago and I got the card today which is valid for 1 year from Gdansk governorship.

Next year again, I will apply for it one more year, and on July 2014 my studies will be finished. Here is the problem that I wanna stay in Poland for a couple of years more, is it possible for me to take residence card after finishing the master studies if I find a job?

I've found this topic from Krakow Governorship, it says:

Foreigners released from the obligation to have a work permit pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy of 30 August 2006 (Dz.U. [Journal of Laws] No. 156 Item 1116, as amended):

19. graduates of Polish upper secondary schools or full-time higher education studies or full-time doctorate studies in Polish universities,

Has anybody experienced a situation like this?

That seams plausible. I've heard about similar law in UK and Germany. Just send same question to Polish embassy in Istanbul.
