Hi my name is Nathan and my wife (who is Polish) and I have just moved here from Australia and want to know if we have to pay any taxes. We have sold our house in Australia and want to know will we be taxed if we bring that money into Poland.

We also want to start a small business here as well and would like to know what taxes we might be up against and if we can reduce the tax. We will be doing photography business and also teaching English.

Thanks.
Nathan

As long as you paid sales tax for your sold home in Australia, you won't have to pay again when you enter Poland.

hi coveynova, i suggest you get the help of a Polish finance lawyer based in Poland. They will know how and what you need to pay for, because after all i'm sure you don't want to be paying for something that is not necessary right? It will cost to get the assistance of such a lawyer but in the long run, you save a lot.
