Any good business ideas - what Poland needs?

Poland dont need to import much except agricultural foods. Poland needs to sell their heavy industry products for better prices to countries where heavy or conventional industry no more exist (these are USA, Britain, etc), but, buyers of these countries lack money now, therefore, they can't buy even Chinese low priced products. Poland is importing much light industry such as IT, etc technology and they are paying more money for these than their heavy products which must be more expansive than light products. But, Poland is going backward, as if western capitalism is still a power. Poland needs to socialize their economy system asap and they have this advantage of experience over the western countries. If they do this social economy, whole Europe have to listen to Poland. But, Poland is probably misunderstanding social economy and they are probably understand "night economy" when the term social economy is mentioned. If I were Poland, I'd redirect the Poland industry toward the medicine technology which are used in hospitals, etc. Such stffs are usually made of high stainless steel alloys and Poland already have this industry, foundries, machining shops, etc with good engineering knowledge.

How about invent a currency which doesn't devalue 20% in 1 month? That or maybe offer secure flights for high ranking officials, oh I forgot, the government already has the monopoly on that one...

I asked an Economics student the same question and his reply (bearing in mind he lives in a medium sized town) was to open a sex shop...He could have a point there.

not sure if that's a good idea. Beata Uhse has just closed here in Wroclaw.

And a sex video/toys store, at the end of my street, didn't even last six months.

Seriously, I will tell you what Warsaw needs and wants....

A cheap British Style Curry house.

I mean cheap, 15 zl / 20 zl a dish. It can be done, curry is cheap to make. All the Indian restaurants in Warsaw right now are up-market. We need an Edgebaston style Balti house, cheap and chearful.

Don't you mean Sparkbrook, lol.

But you do realise that there's only way you are going to get a cheap "British-style" curry house... and most Poles don't want that.

Bottles of Cider
Blu-tak
Proper cheese in the shops
Move all football matches to early kick-off times, hooligans cant get drunk and families should be attracted to games
Lamb meat
Veal meat (can't find these anywhere)
Perry (of Pear Cider as some people call it)
Toll Roads
Car Parking lots
Car Parking ticket machines instead of those clowns standing on streets who you have to buy tickets off
Get rid of the Straz, one Police force is more than plenty
Crisps in small packets and not those tesco ones, I mean taytos or walkers ones
Cheaper CDs/DVDs
Cheaper books...why are books so expensive here...it's only paper
More street lights

If you can run it better than the ones that already exist. I wouldn't say there is a shortage.

cup cakes?

Lots of cukiernias and bakeries. Might work as a niche home business.

Talk about pulling a figure out of the air.

It depends on what business it is, you can't just make up a figure and call it a magic number, unless you are Paul Daniels.

I would like to see lots of remote controlled bells.
basically a bell that would ring if you pushed a remote controlled button.
You could put the button in your wallet or as an application to your mobile phone and attach the electronical bell to your keys, so you wouldn't lose them.

When I was a kid we had a whistle operated bell that you attached to your keys, so if you whistled the bell would ring and you could find them. (where are they now? the market was obviously limited to those that could whistle but why should I have to pay for lazy kids in the playground? :)

Also you could attach the button to the T.V. and the bell to the T.V. remote control, so when you lose your remote you can push the button on the T.V. to find it.

In my opinion only a foreign drinks shop has chances to succeed in Poland. You bring all heavy alcohol drinks 24 h non-stop.

You could start selling them in Poland, almost every pound shop sells them back home I'm guessing when buying in bulk unit cost would be about 40p

You will most likely give up after 6 months of trying hard and getting nowehere

I don't have any problems here as a foreigner. Nothing shocking, and quite a pleasaurable experience in terms of things being painless and easy.
