Equal to 100 000 euro, by EU law. It works that in EU parliament they invent new laws and later EU countries must copy it locally, otherwise they get penalties.

100,000 Euro, if you have a joint account 200,000 Euro.

Is every account insured for 100k euro or all combined? say one has 75 k in 3 diff accounts in 3 diff banks will all be covered?

I think that up to 100 000 euro per 1 person for all bankrupting banks. So it's better distribute money between few banks. So if one of them bankrupts then nothing is lost. But if 2 banks are bankrupting and in both of them you have over 100 000 euro total (for example 60 000 in 1 and 60 000 in 2nd), then your cash above 100 000 is not insured ( up to 20 000 can be lost).

If it's not correct please correct me.

It is not correct.

The facts are as follows:

The deposit guarantee is up to 100 000 EUR equivalent per person per bank.
Which means that if somebody has deposited the equivalent of 200 000 EUR spitted in different accounts in the same bank, the guaranteed amount is only 100 000 EUR for this one person.

On the other hand if somebody has for example equivalent of 1 000 000 EUR spitted equally in ten banks. Total amount of 1 mln EUR is guaranteed.

In other cases, for example if one account in one bank is shared between three persons, then each person has 100 000 EUR equivalent guarantee.

However needs to be noticed that the amount above the "insured" deposit limit is not totally lost.
It still remains as the liability of the bank and might be (either in total or in some part) paid back during the bank's bankruptcy procedure.
