Blue Card - How long can I stay in Poland after I resign from my work?

Hi Everyone,

I am currently working with a MNC in Warsaw and have a Blue card valid for 3 years. However, I am considering to resign from my current role. Therefore, i would like to know how long can i stay in the Poland after my last day at work? With what i read on the internet it should be 6 months. But can anyone help me on this? Do you know some one that could be helpful here?

Do you have any link for this information? What I have read your residence permit is valid up to 30 days after you loose the job. You have an obligation to notify your regional office about the change of employment within 15 days - the governor's will probably issue a decision on revoking your temporary permit's validity. In its decision the province governor will determine a deadline for you to leave Poland.

You are also probably aware that you can't change this job (either employer or a workplace) if your stay in Poland on the basis of the blue card permit is shorter than 2 years?

When I asked last time in foreign office, they said within 15 days after the termination of the contract, like Looker mentioned you have to find a new job, otherwise you will have to leave the country - which was for temporary karta pobytu, do not think it will be different for blue card. Better is to call the foreign office and ask, it will take a few minutes :)

you can stay upto 3 months after left the current MNC if you have Blue card.
I suggest you to get in touch with your country embassy from where you got the blue card ..
