Does Poland acknowledge Malaysian and Japanese driving licences?

Greetings,
My housemate and I are considering purchasing an automobile but we are not certain if me must get the local license.
Would someone brief us how to go through the process?

Thank you a lot!

Not EU driving licenses must be changed to Polish after 6 months of staying in Poland if they're from country which signed this convention:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna_Convention_on_Road_Traffic

Other are not valid here, so only option is to get in home country International Driving License which is valid in Poland for touristic use (I guess up to 6 months).

Or get Polish driving license replacement.

And here is list of countries which signed Vienna convention:

treaties.un.org/pages/ViewDetailsIII.aspx?&src=TREATY&mtdsg_no=XI~B~19&chapter=11&Temp=mtdsg3&lang=en

No Japan or Malaysia there.
