I guess for every foreigner it is a big issue how to get divorce with polish. I would like to ask couple of questions and it would be great if someone can answer the same. It would be equally helpfull if someone who has gone through the same share there experience.

1) How can a person continue living even after divorce specially when was married for 1 year or so?

2) If court makes the foreginer spouse guilty so what are the consequences? When couples have no kids and no property or investment together?

3) If karta pobytu is going to expire how can he still apply for one when spouse is in mddle of divorce? Spouse doesnt want to come for interview for karta pobytu.

Any suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance

I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles. As you are Korean, I would very strongly suggest that you contact the Korean embassy in Warsaw; it is one of the better embassies when it comes to helping citizens. As you are a victim of crime, they should help you (it's one of the things that they are paid to do). At the very least they will be able to give you a list of lawyers in Poland who either speak Korean or (more probably) speak English. They can also speak to the Polish police on your behalf. Good luck and don't hesitate to come back here if you need more help or advice.

Get a solicitor and bring the case up for the Court. The Court will write to her.

Ask your solicitors. I believe that if you can prove that a recorded delivery has taken place, it is understood that the recipient has received notification. Go through a good solicitor. Say that the reason for the divorce is 'breakdown of marriage'.

I am in Indian citizenship. I have been married with my wife ( polish citizen) more than one year. I have applied for residence permit. I have received the decision letter for one year residence permit. I haven't get my card yet. I have PESL number . I suppose to receive the card in few days but suddenly my wife decided to divorce me in the evening though we both were sleeping together until noon on that day and every single night. My wife is treating me to cancel my residence permit card. I don't want to divorce my wife because I love her so much and I can't divorce her . My questions are :

1) if I don't want to divorce my wife , can she divorce me if I'm not agree with her divorce ?
2) can she cancel my residence permit when I already decision letter for one year and PESL number ?
3) Can i switch to work permit visa from polish citizen family member visa status after getting divorce ?
Thank you

Think about it and ask yourself, is this a dumb question?

can she cancel my residence permit when I already decision letter for one year and PESL number ?

Yes, she can your life miserable.

Thank you

Don`t you think its a bit disrespectful not to join this forum like I just did, before you ask questions? I was going to respond to the other posters, however it seems like an old topic. thanks

I have seen a statement act 199 of law of forefinger's exhaustively listed situations
" In general there are no obstacles for divorced person to get residence permit on other grounds "

Q: Could you please briefly explain what does it mean ?

We have been married 16 months. After I married I transferred around 56500 PLN to my wife account for our saving . Now we are decided to divorce and I asked my wife to get money but she replied it's her expenses since she got married me.

when I transferred that amount money into her account , she was working but I didn't work , I got those money before we got married .

Question: Am I responsible to bear her monthly expenses when she was working ?
Question: She has right for not giving back my money when I got those before I married her ?
Question: if I'm responsible then how much PLN I suppose to give her monthly since we got married ?

Please help me because I lost everything because of married with girl.
