pauljames 1 | - 8 May 2012 #1I'd like to learn Polish but listening to a CD isn't really getting me anywhere. Any help? (:
catsoldier 62 | 595 9 May 2012 #2I would say do something in Polish that you like doing, if you like reading, read a little in Polish, if you like TV, watch a little TV but overall you need to do a little of everything, a bit of grammar, some CD work etc. A good Polish teacher is a huge step forward.

Bejma 18 Jan 2017 #8Sit at a table with a few college educated Poles (educated Poles speak slower, and very clearly). Throw in a bottle of Wódka Wyborowa, and bingo!...in two hours you'll not only understand them, but you'll also be able to speak it. Don't know a word for something? Make one up. I do it a lot. With about maybe 35 root words, I can form any noun or verb, and many adjectives. Example: Where is the bathroom? Gdzie jest aparat dosiuśny? They think I speak very poetic (Ja mowię takie poetycznie). See? Not hard to do.
