Hi Everyone,

I hope all are enjoying a nice grammatical day today. :-)

My question, in the event someone knows, is the origin of the phrase "jak ulu" as in a phrase such as

- Jak tam dziś w pracy?

- No tak, praca wre jak ulu!

Enjoy!

Praca wre jak w ulu

it is an expression and it means: the work is going as well as in a beehive- which means very busy.

It's a beehive of activity in there! It roughly means 'praca wre jak w ulu'.

Ul meaning beehive.

Or it could mean it's noisy "Głośno jak w ulu"
