Dzbanecznik as a synonym of alcohol?

I need a Polish slang word for alcohol, in the meaning of a drink which relieves the troubles, makes you feel better, eases your pain or something like that. Or maybe it's not slang, it can be any synonym which is commonly used for alcoholic drinks. I only found this word, but as I saw it it seems it's not the best choice - i dont even know what it means actually :/

Thanks for any tips.

Dzbaneczek is a bit (but not completely) like the expression 'a wee dram'. It comes across as ironic and arch but unlike a 'wee dram' it's meaning can very much depend on how and why the person is using it.

Dzbanecznik is a scientific name of a plant Nepenthes

I haven't ever encoutered dzbanecznik as a figurative name for alcohol so it's a litentia poetica or a neologism

I would go for 'trunek' - it's not a slang it's a literary word rather but it conveys the meaning you wished for in the first sentence

Dzbanecznik or dzbaneczek ?

we have dzban - jug (rather big one)
diminutive dzbanek- small jug
diminutive dzbaneczek- even smaller jug

that is very literal translation, but then very litte jug seems appropriate if you are talking about wine. - it doesn't feel like what you wanted to describe

"Sięgać/ sięgnąć po kieliszek" - literally - reach for a glass - turn to alcohol in search for relief/ to feel better and so on

"Zaglądać do kieliszka" - look into the glass - if we talk about the problem

Those two expressions do not specify what kind of alcoholic drink it is, but we don't drink beer from "kieliszek"

I would go for 'trunek' - it's not a slang it's a literary word rather but it conveys the meaning you wished for in the first sentence

- I would say trunek means just any alcoholic drink

Nepenthes

Which is one reason why it works so well.

I've also heard "zalać robaka" and "topić smutki w alkoholu". It refers to drinking because of problems, of course to ease them, but the relief is on metnioned in those phrases, so that's probably not what you are looking for.

I think "trunek" is the best guess. There can also be "napitek".
Dinking "event" ;)- "popijawa", "pijatyka", "libacja". The two last, when it's really bad, hard party.
