Questions regarding Barka

I continue to find Barka to be a hymn that deeply affects me. While I've been able to find numerous presentations the one that I find most beautiful is found at:

youtube.com/watch?v=1c5IiTVDT6k

Can anyone tell me the location and/or event shown in the video?

Also, is there any particular season or occassion during or at which Barka would be performed at a Sunday Mass?

Thanks you,

Greg

This is one of my favourites also ...... there is newer version ( using the same video clip) which is a bit more upbeat in the latter part.

It was in Warsaw, on Pilsudski square. I would suspect it was after JP2 died, but don't know for certain.

Pilsudski square in Warsaw. The event in the video I believe is the first anniversary of John Paul II ( death) in 2006.

Here is a link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piłsudski_Square

He died in 2005 and gathering was during the daytime, this was the night vigil in 2006 in my opinion.

Barka is mostly sang in churches or other gatherings when something is about John Poul II, it could also be at something about young priests, or seminars, or vocation , or at priest's anniversary of vows or when reading about events in song are read in mass, or at St Peter's day ,or just at random.
