The old woman on the next farm to me says she wants me to meet her Labia , with a view to a relationship , i thought she had only two daughters , neither of which is called Labia , and in any case they both look like the back end of a Warsaw tram smash...

However i have agreed to at least meet this Labia , not heard this name before in Poland , is it common...???

poor girl.. Labia. Bring an English-Polish dictionary to the meeting. If the conversation stalls, show her what her name means in English.

Nooo the other two are called Anna and Beata...but as i said , they both look pretty horrible... i am hoping this Labia will turn out to be the good looking one of the family...

Mind you , when your mum looks like Stalin you ain,t gonna be too pretty i guess...

Who is this Minorska...she sounds nice....?

show her what her name means in English.

Is it an English name then....????

Ouch, perhaps you could subtly suggest the old lady to have her Labia clean shaven for the rendezvous with you...

perhaps, that could explain her name, to emphasize her newly acquired femininity

Labia is not a girl's name but could be an animal's. Don't be surprise if you are introduced to a horse named Labia.

Unless you've misspelled the name and it is Lamia , a nice name but according to a Greek mythology means a child eating demon or a young men seducer.

Have your eyes wide open, just in case :)

Labia? Never heard of... But if it is Lamia, then it is very good name for a girl in future Poland when there will be only three males left... She will safe them for sure ;-)

Labia in latin means "wargi". Just like labia pudendi - wargi sromowe.
Other example is: Labia minor a latin name of an insect.

Weird name never heard of it. Also google doesn't help so I guess such name doesn't exist.

But there is name Liwia

Mind you , when your mum looks like Stalin you ain,t gonna be too pretty i guess...

daughters take after fathers mostly.

Mods, I have answered the question more than others here. Please restore what I wrote as it was relevant. I have taught many students in 6 years and none of them were called Labia.

I see the Mods are in a flap about labia.

It's not a common name in Poland, no.
