Seeking relatives named Falkenberg, Bartel or Jeck . Originally from Godow, Radom. Last known addresses were from Legezow and Leokadiow. I believe all were expatriated from Godow about 1939. Ancestors include Michal Falkenberg son of Jan and Justine Falkenberg. Zygmunt was born 11/16/1922. Son of Henryk and Krystyna (Bartel) Falkenberg. My Father was Theodor Falkenberg, son of Michal and Julianna (Radke) born 04/14/1908 emigrated to U.S. in 1924. Any help would be appreciated.

All three names are foiund in today's Poland but noine are of Polish origin. They are German in origin but possibly also appearing in YIddish.

FALKENBERG: Falcon Hill
BARTEL: derived from Bartholomew, the German word bärtig (bearded) or the noun Barte (broad axe).
JECK: short form of German first name Jekel originally dervied from Jacob.
