Dear forum,

Does anybody know the where abouts of these records? I have checked the LDS website and Ancestry.co.uk and I have not managed to find them.

I have traced my family name back to 1850 in Dobrodzien but I have been unable to trace any futher back than this as I think my family moved into the area around this time. I have noticed that people have located my family name (although not the names I am looking for) in the towns of Molna and Jezowa which is a short distance from Dobrodzien but it falls under a different council seat. The seat of Gmina Ciasna.

Thanks can any help you can give any direction.

Did you look under the name the town carried during the time frame you are researching? Guttentag was Prussian until 1871, when it became part of the German Empire.

A quick search at the LDS web site came up with a few records from the town of Guttentag.
