Squirrel-stuffed pasties from Cornwall?

Anyone ever try these? In Michigan and other states (esp. in hilllbilly country) people go squirrel shooting and roast squirrel is quite nice.

I have eaten grey squirrel - tasted a bit like rabbit.
took a lot of skinning though so it was not really worth the effort

in Cornwall and the States they are grey
In Poland they are red of course - dear little squirrel nutkins with not a lot of meat on them

they make hedgehog flavoured crisps (potato chips for our American cousins) in the UK too

there is nothing cute about them, they are rats with bushy tails
they raid song bird nests and ring bark sycamore trees - destructive bastards

they do not ring bark sycamores in the States only in the UK - it is truly amazing but true

I seem to remember that you can only eat the meat at certain times of the year.
I think spring is the only time that they are fit for eating

Well, they cull grey squirrels so why waste them...personnaly I think they are both cute animals and these days I wouldnt eat a pie,and Ive eaten my share of bush tucker , Kangaroo burgers, water buffalo burgers, ostrich steak.........and more than my share of beaver...........budum tisshhhh.
