Poznan, the home of Poland's finest vodka: Wyborowa. As to how much it costs, are you buying one bottle or one hundred?

Wyborowa

I see Harry knows what's best. I was testing vodka actually.
There are other great brands, but this one is really good.

Here I found some random wholesale prices:

Wyborowa, 0.5 litre - around 17 zł, but why not buy bigger bottles.

Also safe choice: Luksusowa, Żołądkowa Gorzka.

And do not buy some bad brand, the quests (and you) may have a nasty hangover or at least bad memories from the reception after not genuine brands like Absolwent [suprisingly popular, but suspiciously similar looks to Smirnoff, wonder why? ;))], Lodowa, Sieradzka...

cheers

Luksusowa is my potato vodka of choice! ZG is a good vodka but be careful not to get the herb one, not everybody likes the taste.

As to hangovers, I'd add Bols to the sh*t list. But different vodkas affect different people different ways, the best bet is to make a short list of four or five vodkas and then get drunk on each one to compare hangovers.

I tried it, being utterly oblivious to what it was.

Was sick ten minutes later :/

vodka (or wódka) is for sissies- the only good high-alcohol drink is Rakija!

fvck the Cola, fvck the Pizza-
all you need is Śliwowica!

Done that. I'd say it is rather the matter of purity and proper distillation than personal factors (them too but not so much as the quality).

Bols used to be (not sure about now) one of the most commonly counterfeited vodkas, I read one estimate that about 1/3 of Bols sold in shops is fake. And it was almost impossible to tell the difference (only the next day) - the "forgerers" used the same bottles and even holograms could be compromised.

Siwucha from Zielona Góra is very good (23pln for a half liter in Carrefour)

Ive not heard that. But if you want a few crates of Bols, let me know: it's owned by Carey-Agri and Bill Carey is a drinking mate of mine.

If you buy 100 bottles of vodka you should expect a lower price per bottle than if you buy 1.

@Harry:
Thanks! Well I suppose if you get it from the source then there's no risk. Ask him about the counterfeits on the market. I quickly browsed these sites (in Polish):

Customs Chamber in Wrocław Magazine takes a huge room in an old house . On the shelves high to the ceiling , are tons of goods. It's all here : stacks of seized pirated CDs of music and movies , clothes from markets - all "made in China" , but with tags ii prints adidas , nike , puma . Cartons of counterfeit perfumes of the most popular global brands (some of them burned stains in clothing , which spryskało them - tell the customs officers ) , boxes of counterfeit vodka , whiskey, together with new bottles and caps . For this label , as from the factory. I went to the warehouse in Mark, head of the department to combat crime Wroclaw Chamber of Customs .

You can find some information about illegal production of Bols and others.

Merged: 3L bottle of Vodka for 185 Pln and 1L Johnnie Walker Black Label for 120 Pln is it fair price?

Just bought it for a present....

Is the price reasonable?

Regards,

The vodka seems a little expensive, the whisky seems cheap: alleceny.pl/kategoria/87/Alkohole_i_papierosy

The vodka seems ridiculously overpriced, the Scotch only a little so.
