Can you do online food shopping in Poland? Supermarkets.

Carrefour is much better but I prefer Leclerc.

I like Leclerc on Jerozolimskie too, for the same reason. Also, I find Carrefour in Arkadia excellent for fresh food - they actually had Jerusalem Artichokes (topinambours) the other day! Do you know if they have online ordering/delivery?

@Jon: maybe we can meet at Leclerc;). Besides the fact that it is never crowded (thanks to Biedronka next door ;)), I like it because they have a lot of organic products and quite a few French products (not fancy like at Carrefour but basic (generic brands) - for instance they have chocolate mousse for ... 0.69zl and it's really good). Yes, some Carrefour are much better. I often go to the one at Zloty Terasy (was there 1 hour ago ;)).

@Jon: PS: I don't know whether we can order online from Carrefour but I suppose info can be found on their site. I think possible with Leclerc. I never order. I go to such stores once in a while since buying from small neighborhood shops every day/other day...

Even before Biedronka was there it was always fairly quiet - I think the location has a lot to do with that; the competition from the two shopping malls nearby. A nice cafe there too. And yes, I agree about the French products - they've got some very good things there.

We've looked at online shopping (for when I'm working away - my other half has mobility issues so it would be a real help to him) but not really found anything good.

online shopping

Have you tried any of the organic food online shopping portals?

@Jon; that's right, I forgot! Most people go to Reduta (Carrefour) or to Blue City (Piotr & Pawel) so even Biedronka on weekends is rather quiet.... I was used to going to Zloty Terasy and to Galeria Mokotow but I have lately started to go to Blue City/Reduta as I don't live far away (some 10 minutes' bus ride) and have now some work closeby. Blue City at first is very hard to figure out but after a few times, it's ok...

As to Leclerc's French products, athough basic and cheap (contrary to for instance Carrefour), they are very good. Like said, they have a lot of organic products including cleaning products but sorry I don't buy their French organic "Ludwik" that costs ..... 34 ZL. I am not stupid ;)

@Polsyr: is the question for me or for Jon? I very rarely order online and when I do, it's only for (organic) cosmetics...

Question is open for all to answer :)

I like blue city for the free parking, and for TK Max (good for gift ideas). Not a fan of Piotr i Pawel because I find they tend to be overpriced on certain items.

I am curious to hear from people that did buy organic foods online about their experiences.

@Polsyr: that's right re free parking. I happen to buy a lot from TK Maks too.

As to Piotr & Pawel, I normally never buy fruit and vegetables from them because too expensive. They have otherwise great products and have their own brand "Piotr & Pawel", and believe me it's very good and no more expensive than let's say Carrefour. I buy their dairy products, cereal, cookies and they are really good and cheap...

It seems that everybody shops at same places so why not organizing a shopping meeting some day?

The Mrs very much like Auchan for on-line shopping.
