If you were asked to indciate Poland's single most popular dinner, what would it be?
I'd say home-made tomato noodle soup (none of that Heinz or Campbell crap!) and fried breaded pork cutlet (schaboszczak) with dilled boiled potatoes and mizeria (sour cream-dressed cucumber salad).

Schabowy z kapustą daily and bigos for Christmas.
Unluckily most of Poles prefer chicken nowadays. I do not eat poultry and suffer.

i'll stick to heinz, thanks.

you are asking us to pick our favourite from a rather bland menu.

and fried breaded pork cutlet (schaboszczak)

the only thing Polish about this is the name.

Based on the growth rate of restaurants serving it, I'd say in a couple of years Poland's favourite food will be curry. Although sushi will carry on being hugely popular in places where the ingredients are easily available. In my office block we now have as many people bringing round baskets of sushi as people bringing round baskets of sandwiches (i.e. two of each).

Pretty much what most Polish food is made of. Saturated fats, salt, bland vegetables and pig meat.

Poland's favourite meal

Poland's single most popular dinner

I'd say that putting an equality sign between them is far-fetched. As for most popular, I'd say rosół z kury (chicken stock) and schabowy z kiszoną kapustą i ziemniakami (

fried breaded pork cutlet

with sauerkraut and mashed potatos). This is, IMO, due to their low costs and ease of preparation. With the 'favourite' meal I'd be more cautious.

It'll happen one day. But probably not in our lifetime.
