Where to buy fruit wood in Poland for use in a smoker

Hi All-

Looking for recommendations as to where in the Warsaw area to buy logs from fruit wood trees, for use in a smoker. It's easy to find fruit wood chips, and some places the larger "chunks" - but I'd prefer to find someone who has larger pieces (like the size you would burn in a fireplace). Most fruit-species trees are fine: cherry, apple, peach...

Non-fruit species would also be OK - hickory, oak (that's easy), pecan, etc...

I don't speak Polish - but have someone who could call and coordinate things. Thanks in advance!!

Hint: Slightly green wood works better to smoke with.

Find some 'działki' and ask the people who cut a tree recently, then give them 'na flaszkę' and you have fruit wood.

Or a fruit farm. The area to the southwest of Warsaw is the main fruit growing area in the country. That is. the area around Skierniewice and Rawa Maz.
