Can anyone help I live in Krakow and I am trying to find some english cider in cans or bottles to drink at home, also some good english cheddar ( strong flavour), I love polish food but some tastes from england will never die! If you know where I can get either of these or you have something you want from home over here lets see if we can help each other out

order it from sainsburys or m&s's online store ?

otherwise you gotta settle for cheese which tastes like cheese spread baked into form

as for cider, there actually is a ok brand and its cheap , don't know if it is available in Malopolska, the 'wine' I am talking about is called ANTO£EK. Its available in £ódź anyhow...

A company called John King Polska import Bulmers but it is pricey (23zl a bottle in the bar in Warsaw that stocks it). Your alternatives are to come get the stuff in Warsaw from Fish & Chips or to have the stuff sent over by britishcornershop.co.uk (52 cans of Natch is £80 including shipping).

I think it would be more economical to book a return to london and go into a offflicense

Remember drinking Bulmers in Nic Nowego about a year ago. I've not actually looked recently to see if they still sell it but it might be worth checking out.

Cheddar you should be able to get in Alma or Carrefour (at least that's the case here in Tarnow). For cider I've no idea but a shame no one is considering how many apples we have in this region.

Just came back from Estonia. Lots of cider there. Not just apple and pear but also lemon, cherry and melon flavoured. Yummy!

Wildrover cider has a catchy ring to it. Hand pressed by buxom Polish wenches in traditional costume.

big carrefour stores have a wiltshire cheese in the main fridge. alma and real do kerrygold cheedar, red and white at the cheese counter.

a wine shop in lodz does spanish organic cider that isn't bad. 22pln for 1L. pricey. I've also found polish cider in champagne bottles. like scrumpy with little fizz. similar price.

I Know that Magners is 65zl for 24 cans in tesco calais maybe it would be an idea to start up a cider club and send a van to collect some and maybe some John Smiths etc.

I currently have to go to a couple of bars in Krakow and pay 14 or 15zl for a large strongbow.

No need to send it all the way to Calais: the Warsaw fish & chip shop have a van coming to Poland every week and are happy to bring back whatever you want. You'd (probably) just need to get it from Warsaw.

Jaysys, I'd love some Irish cider, can't inderstand why you can get crap like apple-flavoured beer here but not proper cider, surely with the hot weather here. it'd be a success.

I suppose the irish pubs have bulmers...no sorry magners...but since there's none in Kato anymore I'm not sure.

I got Cheddar in Lerlerc last week, it was alright like but not the best, although must better than the shite gouda you get in shop

It can already be had in Poland: John King Polska have Bulmers and Fish & Chips can bring back anything that's sold in the UK.

Hope so, just make sure and get it before the snow comes, cider is useless when it's in cold weather

1. kopperberg is a famous pear cider, not an apple cider
2. apple cider != ocet jablkowy AND apple cider != winko jabłkowe

Kopparberg is available in different tastes, not only pear. Don't know if it's available in apple, but I do know you have also a blueberry variety and some othe fruits.

>^..^<

M-G (and Bulmers wanted their cut of the success of Kopparbeg in Ireland, so they suddenly release also a pear cider and a blueberry cider - how surprising)

Kopparberg is available in different tastes, not only pear.

yes, i know- but perry is their main product (as far i know). and, speaking about other fruits- i cannot stand most of them*

*only elderflower and lime is good

My sis would buy sauerkraut juice and drink it right out of the can. I nearly gagged watching her drink it. Much too bitter for my liking. The only thing I'd consider using the product for, is adding flavor to Polish food.

When Adam and Eve ate the apple from the Garden of Eden God was mighty peeved and he did say unto Eve
