Would it be possible for the checker to return the threads/posts that you are interested in?

How it would work:
I click on the checker and it returns threads with new posts that I am interested in(that I ticked I am interested in previously) and all new threads so that I have the option of following them.

Not too different to how it works now except the checker wouldn't return everything, only what I am interested in.

Thanks.

The whole purpose of the checker is to keep up with new posts in the forums that you are interested in. If you don't like a certain forum, then uncheck it. If you want to see all new threads, then use the "latest" page in the "sort by newest threads" view.

Or you may become a Gold Member and then have an email notification about a new reply sent once someone makes a post in a thread you're interested in.

Merged: Being taken to the next post you have not read

I use other forums for work where there is a useful feature, when you click on the topic you are taken to the next post you have not read yet. This saves loads of time scrolling through stuff you have seen already, could you introduce it here please?

You can use the 'checker' which works that way. It's on the top of the page, below the mailbox.

Not impressed with it. Why can we not automatically go to the next unread post in a thread?

But you can.You go into checker and see list of the topics that spread since your last visit. When you click on some topic you'll be send into posts that appeared after you used checker for the last time. What more do you want?

when you click on the topic you are taken to the next post you have not read yet.

But when you use a different browser or a different computer, the settings will be lost. With the Checker you won't lose the data even if you use different web browsers or computers.

I do not lose the settings on the other forums.

I would have thought that would be cookie based as the database would grow exponentially if you did it that way. With cookies you would lose the last post read between devices.
