Meathead 5 | 467 11 Dec 2013 / #2It is worth remembering that this is Gross, NOT Net.How much of a percentage do you lose to get net?
Hubertus 4 | 26 11 Dec 2013 / #3My friend told me about a job where the gross salary was 5000zł and net was 3000zł. So in this case, 40%. Yikes.

OP Maybe 12 | 409 11 Dec 2013 / #5@ Monitor thank you for the tax calculations.Average rental prices in the kujawsko-pomorskie region for flat ranging from 30sqm to 50sqm seem to go from 850zl pm up to 3000zl,with the average offer falling round 1300zl for a 40sqm pad. This is not including ground rent which can vary greatly.
Hubertus 4 | 26 11 Dec 2013 / #6My friend told me about a job where the gross salary was 5000zł and net was 3000zł. So in this case, 40%. Yikes.Correction, I checked the message again and it was 3500zł net, so a 30% reduction, or probably more accurately the number that Monitor provided.
OP Maybe 12 | 409 11 Dec 2013 / #7The next link is to Numbeo, this very useful site lists consumer prices for Gdansk which is the main city in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region ( i think).numbeo.com/cost-of-living/city_result.jsp?country=Poland&city=GdanskFor all those people wanting to understand the fiscal realities of day to day Poland for the masses, the information is out there and much of it contained within this site.Unfortunately you have to dig through the flaming trolls, the nationalists, the racists, the nonces, f*ckwits and morons who desecrate this potentially marvellous forum with their inane drivel.
Polonius3 980 | 12276 19 Dec 2015 / #8Merged: How much do Poles really earn?Television tells us that the average wage in Poland is 4,200 zł gross or 3,000 net. Viewers rub their eyes at such revelations in disbelief because 2/3 of all Poles earn less. In 2012 the most common pay was 1,591 net. One-half earned less than 2,236 net and 19% earned 3,549 net.bankier.pl/wiadomosc/Ile-naprawde-zarabiaja-Polacy-3048211.html
