For those people thinking of working in the call centre environment and "Administrative support with languages", take note of the last entry on the table above, this is what many of your Polish co-workers will be earning.

It is worth remembering that this is Gross, NOT Net.

How much of a percentage do you lose to get net?

My friend told me about a job where the gross salary was 5000zł and net was 3000zł. So in this case, 40%. Yikes.

Average rental prices in the kujawsko-pomorskie region for flat ranging from 30sqm to 50sqm seem to go from 850zl pm up to 3000zl,
with the average offer falling round 1300zl for a 40sqm pad. This is not including ground rent which can vary greatly.

Correction, I checked the message again and it was 3500zł net, so a 30% reduction, or probably more accurately the number that Monitor provided.

Television tells us that the average wage in Poland is 4,200 zł gross or 3,000 net. Viewers rub their eyes at such revelations in disbelief because 2/3 of all Poles earn less. In 2012 the most common pay was 1,591 net. One-half earned less than 2,236 net and 19% earned 3,549 net.
