I'm looking for some advice!

One of my students as asked me to assist her in finding a live-in, English speaking Au pair for her two children in the south of Poland!

I really have no idea where to start, i did some google'in but didn't find much. Where do you think would be a good place to look? i was thinking gap year students or students who have just finished collage/uni and want to try something new......

Any help will be much appreciated :)

Tell her to put some ads out, even if you found something she'd probably turn you down and what if the person you recommended ended up being a bad carer?

Wash your hands with that one.

I understand, to be honest I'm helping her to write the advert, trying to help her find somewhere to post it and then let her to the interviewing and other details!

For sure I'm not going to make a decision on her behalf, as she would put the blame on me if it didn't go to plan for sure!

Well any ideas on where to post an ad? :)

Gumtree would be the first place to start, I think.

I'd also post on CS - especially in the London group and other places.

Hmm...could also put an advert on the UK jobcentre site?

Hi,

Is your friend still looking for an English-speaking Au Pair? I currently have one I have employed and she is great! Now my daughter is in pre-school for most of the day and I work from home so I will not need to renew her contract. Let me know if you need more information or references. You can email me on mpendwa7@yahoo

Regards

Patricia

Try aupairworld.net.

My UK friends have found au pairs from there - and I have a friend's daughter who is looking to au pair in Europe now. She is on that site, at my recommendation.

Best of Luck from Texas!

Hi,
I am looking for English / Spanish speeking aupair. We are a family of 4 living in a beautiful countryside next to big city of Wroclaw, south of Polnad. We need some help with kids (girl 3 years, boy 10 months) - few hours in the morning and sometimes evenings. We offer board and accomodation, plenty of free time and pocket money.

and pocket money.

Do not forget that Au pairs are not nannys hired on the cheap the are supposed to attend a language school to learn the language;

food accomodation and a stipend are not enough ,you ll need to offer to pay for their Polish Lessons.

You shouldn't have problems finding a job in big Poland cities (you could probably be hired for foreigners in Poland too).
