Salary expectation for a Junior java developer in Krakow / Warsaw Poland?

Hello everyone , I am a foreigner and a large company in Krakow offered me a 4000zl gross salary per month as a junior Java developer and I want to know if it's a normal salary for a junior developer without experience also i would like to know how much i will get in net after paying taxes. Thanks

After taxes you will get 70% of that. What you got offered is upper level of what fresh graduates get.

I think 4000zl is a normal salary for that position in Poland, however the tax rate you will be submitted to is 18%, so that should leave you with 3390zl after tax. Your income tax also covers social security and medical care, but that's not much. I recommend taking a budget out of your salary to buy yourself a complementary private medical insurance in order to get the same medical care as you would expect in the West. Furthermore, many companies just offer such an insurance to their employees. Make sure you can't get one from your employer. That would be great if it was possible to include this in your package.

That's 2800 PLN net, after deductions. Not worth moving to Poland for so little, even for a junior position.

That will barely cover a very frugal lifestyle, with zero luxury or savings. Throw in the cost of airfare and visa fees, and you might even end up in the red after one year. All it would take is an abscessed tooth or a couple of weeks in bed with the flu to wipe you out financially as you would have little in the way of a rainy day fund.

There are better opportunities elsewhere, and for this amount of money, there are probably better opportunities in your own country.

Teeth treatment is very cheap in Poland and this is starting salary. Each year you should be getting 15 to 20 percenst salary rise. (If you don't then change job) If you don't need work permit (EU citizen) then you can optimize taxes in order to ger more net. Just ask the company.

Thanks everyone , i dont look for luxery on this moment because i am obligated to move to Poland and live there for minimum one year , and yes i need a work Permit because i am not EU-citizen. Also my priority in this moment is to add experience to my CV so i dont not know exactly what you guys advice me, look for another opportunity or accept this one?

Accept this offer only if you know that you cannot get a job in richer country than Poland. It's better to work in western European IT (except of Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece).

Definitely look for better opportunities. This one simply isn't worth the bother and cost. Like I said, you may well end up in the red after a one year stay. Believe me, better opportunities exist, even in your home country.

Hello, everyone!

I'm 21 yo guy from Moscow that soon will finish bachelors degree there. Currently I work as a Data Analyst in Moscow, I don't have a working experience as a Java developer, whereas it is my main language.

I've received an offer (middle developer) from Polish company that located in Warsaw. They are ready to pay 7000 gross that is about 5000 net (+ they provide rellocation package) - is it ok salary or should I look smth different? If I would exchange these money to rubles I will get the same figures as I earn now before crisis. Why it is too low in Poland?

Also, I have some concerns about an attitude to Russians there. Of course a lot depends on a person but should I expect some strange looks/behavior?

Could be as little as 3,000 PLN gross. You don't really have any industry experience and you probably don't speak Polish? You should really try to get a year's experience on your CV before changing jobs.

Yes its not worth moving to Poland but Im currently living in Poland and I will work while Im studying.
