IS THERE A PROFESSION LIKE "HEALER" IN POLAND, WHICH EXAMINATION, WHICH ADMINISTRATION?

Who can help me and knows the real answer?

In Germany there is a profession called "HEILPRAKTIKER",
like a medice doctor but for natural medicine and on a
private qualification.
In some other countrys (like Switzerland) it is called
"HEILER" = "HEALER".
A. IS THERE A PROFESSION LIKE THIS IN POLAND?
B. AND IF YES, WHICH TEST/EXAMINATION ON WHICH
ADMINISTRATION THE STUDENT HAS TO MAKE?

Thank you very much for your answers!

There probably is, although it doesn't literally translate the same way. Actually, I think "Heiltherapeutin" is more usual, since the profession (at least here in the States) is normally practiced by women.

Yes. Bio-energia therapeutic. But only an informal body to register. You might want to check out 'Kaudan'.

In Polish that would be a “Znachor” but that has a negative connotation to it more like a voodoo doctor or witch doctor, a shaman in English, the word you are looking for is “Zielarz (Herbalist)” or “Bioterapeuta (Biotherapist)”in Polish. I have respect towards herbal medicine but bioenergoterapia, bioterapia, pranoterapia, czakroterapia, mesmeryzm or any other form of are nothing more than shamanism in modern edition if you ask me, a pseudo medicine.

In English, "herbal medicine", i.e. the medical value of vitamin supplements, is BIG BUSINESS here in the States, let me tell you! I'm less familiar with the Polish termini, but can say with full assurance that in Germany, "Heilpraktiker" and "Heilkunde" are both highly respected, and not nearly as profit driven as in the US. What I mean to say, is that the latter are HARDLY considered fringy or weird much as they often are here, unfortunately.

If one literally translates the former into American vernacular, a person right off the street might get the impression that a Heilpraktiker/herbalist is some sort of "faith healer" and the like:-) It sounds crazy, but it's true.

Hello again!
To Info: I mean the RESPECTFULLY PROFESSION like "Heilpraktiker" in Germany with SERIOUS therapies
like the more than 2000 years old ACUPUNCTURE from China and the more than 1000 years old
PHYTOTHERAPY from europe, HOMEOPATHY and other traditional natural medicine therapies,
which are practised in Germany also by medical doctors!
No shamanism or voodoo or something like this ;-)
I learned this profession in germany and its important for me to know, if its possible to practise this profession
in POLAND and if there are tests on some administration i have to do....

Thanks a lot for any informations! John

you can freely practice your profession and all you have to do to do it legally (so far) is to register it for tax purposes (you can put 'gabinet medycyny naturalnej' as the type of economic activity (you need to state what kind of activity you are going to do while registering)

Not when it comes to the medical profession, A qualified doctor from the USA would not be allowed to practice in Poland before taking local exams.

You also have to qualified to practice Bio-energia therapeutic in Poland.

OP, try contacting these people they may be able to best advise: vegamedica.pl
