Process and Resources to find a job in Poland for an IT professional

Please advice on finding a job in the Poland. I am not from Poland.

Below is a quick summery on me:
7 years of IT experience in Banking and Financial Domain
Performed various roles in all phases of SDLC
Skills: J2EE technologies, Business Objects technologies, PL/SQL, Analysis, Desiging (includes data modeling), Flexcube, Prime
Last role: System Analyst

Please suggest on the process or Resources(contacts, opening,popular employment sites, recruiter details etc.).

Even with that background, you don't stand much of a chance if you can't find the recruitment sites by yourself. Where are you from, and do you speak Polish?

Please accept my apologies if I have implied that I can not find any jobsite. I have found few job portal, and please suggest which are the popular ones, or which are widely used by recruites/employers in Poland, as you being local to the country must have experienced a lot of job sites. Besides job sites, please suggest other contacts, or way. I am aware that, each job market operates differently. There might be some jobs posted in classified of some newspaper or magazine which I may not have access through internet, please share any information which you think, can be helpful to me.

The above questions remain relevant. Most software houses here use Polish as medium of communication even for outsource projects. Have you considered project management, ie interfacing with non-Polish clients?

Which country are you living in at the moment? whats your nationality?

I am not authourize to work in Poland, unless I have a job offer from an employer registered in Poland. Once I get a job offer, I can apply for the work VISA and can work.

PS the other way is to avoid the corporate route altogether. Set up a firm, employ a core of Polish coders (the guys I've worked with have been brilliant, by the way) and your role is kind of CIO/Business dev, with your key strength being the contacts you have, the markets you know. (I might do it one of these days but while I still get all my flights paid for I'm staying put :) )

These two statements don't mix very well with the current EU employment law.
The employer will have to prove that they cannot find a suitable candidate within the EU before you're issued with work permit.
I honestly don't know where you should start, i think this route is highly unlikely to get you a) a job & b) a work permit.

Two possible options;
1. Enroll into a University and do a Polish based IT degere/Diploma. It's easier to get a student visa than a work permit. I think if you stay in Poland for a certain period, then you might be eligible for a residence permit. Ask some lads on here, they know better than i do.

2. Start a small scale software house company. If your financial expertise is solid as indicated, you should be able implement high end application products (both front end and back end). The major problem here is you'll need thorough knowledge of the Polish financial industry. It's a regulated industry hence you need to be upto scratch with industry procedures and i've not mentioned the language barrier yet.

Jro, i'm a very optimistic fella however, my optimism is really wearing thin here.
Your biggest problem is the work permit. if you can find another way to acquire residence (temporary/permanent) in Poland then you could stand a chance employment wise.
