Hi,
As far as I know, normally holiday duration in Poland is 20 working days but if you have more than 10 years of working experience, you get 26 days.
Can you please help me to understand how these 10 years are counted? Is studying included in it? In case of foreigner, does the company accept experience gained outside Poland?
I had 12 years of school, 5 years of university and 4 years of working, none in Poland. Would I be entitled to get 26 days?
Also, once you start working, are you allowed to take any holidays during the probation period? (by the way, how long is it?)
Is there anything else that I should know about holidays in Poland?
Thanks,
Hi there,
You are right with 20 days of holidays and additional 6 days after 10 years of experience. Answering your question-yes education count as work experiance. Bachelor or masters counts as 8 years of experiance so after graduation you need to have proven 2 years work experiance. Please note that this experience does not count while studying - so for instance if you were doing both studying and working - your work experience will be taken into consideration only after you graduate.
i am not a specialist in that case but i believe that it doe not matter whether you have been working in poland or abroad-it is important to present the paper proving your work experiance -like employment ceryficate or so.
You can always direct such questions to your future eployer :)
Regards and good luck!
