Muslim woman in Poland trying to get a job (do Poles like hiring 'different' people?)

It's an interview with a 18 years old Chechen woman living in Poland since 10 years. We find out from it that Poles don't like to hire different people. That's why Muslims wearing hijab have little chance of getting a job in Poland (even, when they speak perfect Polish).

Few fragments google translated:

This is your origin is bothering you in finding a job in Poland?

The problem for employers is the appearance, and actually hijab, which I can not remove. When a Muslim ending 15 years of age must begin to wear it, no matter the weather or circumstances. Where are the men, I can not take it off, I show only the hands and face. I am a Muslim, so I have to do what Allah says.

Employers tell you frankly that the hijab is a problem?

Some people with whom I spoke, answered frankly that the headscarf can not hire me. Did not hide it. Sometimes accepted my application, assured me that he would soon be contacted, even if the answer is negative, but the phone was silent.

The whole article google translated:

At least, we know, Poles in general are very frank and honest regarding this issue.

I am in no place to say, however I think that if the situation is really that bad, the headscarf should be left in the wardrobe for a while. Because the priority is to survive, and get a job. Surely the Muslim God can be forgiving about this? It's a dire situation as we can see, and I believe we need to allow time for people to be more accepting.

I'm with France on this, ban the hijab and all other restrictive, regressive fundamentalist clothing.
Europeans go to Muslim countries, we must obey their traditions. We should apply the same across Europe.

Islam is a dangerous religion in the wrong hands (Sharia countries) and must be kept away from our democratic/progressive tradition.

what like a habit or a vestment? get a grip. Plus France's ban as far as I'm aware is not on the hajib but on full face covering, be it a burqa, helmet, balaclava or even a tea cosy, basically if your face is covered in a public place your breaking the law. I think the law makes sense and it isn't anything new, anti-mask laws have been in place in several countries for many a year.

Your sort of racial/religious discrimination stinks, religion has been used as an excuse for atrocities throughout the ages, not just by one religion. Stop living in fear and accept we're all just human it's just that some people are more sh&5ty than others.

Yea, I'd ban those in public too.

Your sort of racial/religious discrimination stinks,

Religious people are dimwits. Unthinking sheep.

religion has been used as an excuse for atrocities throughout the ages, not just by one religion

Yea, and the human race would be far better off without any of them.

Stop living in fear

Lol, I'm not in fear, I feel nothing but pity for the gormless idiots.

Religious people are dimwits

i don't think people who abide by the laws of god or of any god for that matter are "Religious".

for example people who obey the law in any country, like us, you and me, abide by the law, but that doesn't make us the same status as Lawyers. The lay people like us (who are not lawyers) know the law enough, just not to break it and get ourselves into trouble. But we are not lawyers.

Just like the women who prefer to put on the burqa or hijab or habit, does not mean that they are "religious" or "very religious". And from what I read the women who wear like that, do not want to be treated(or looked at) as sex object, and to prevent themselves from committing adultry because they are very faithful to their husbands.

They are just simply obeying their God's law to avoid getting into trouble in the next life, just like we here on earth avoid getting into trouble with the man-made laws in any country, in this life.

WTF are you on gibbering on about?

Just like the women who prefer to put on the burqa or hijab or habit, does not mean that they are "religious" or "very religious".

Yea, they are repressed by a male dominated sexist 'religion'.

do not want to be treated(or looked at) as sex object, and to prevent themselves from committing adultry because they are very faithful to their husbands

OK, so women who don't wear a special magic piece of fabric on their heads will be seen as a 'sex object'? You really think that? Really?

Also, this magic fabric stops women committing adultery? So, why don't men wear it too? Are men not able to commit adultery in Islam?

What a load of brainwashed nonsense.

They are just simply obeying their God's law to avoid getting into trouble in the next life

So, you think Muslims are only good in this life coz their afraid of some 'god' living in the sky and they aren't just good because it's the moral and right thing to do?

More brainwashed BS.

I totally do not agree with the person who wrote here to ban wearing hijab like in France they already did. It's the personal choice if the person want to wear mini skirts or headscarfs... If they are going to forbid wearing headscarfs in non muslims country so then they should also forbid wearing mini skirts and shorts in muslims counties what would make big wow and media saying how bad it's ;/

Unfortunately my own country which is poland is not tolerant enough i feel sorry for the muslimas wearing hijab who would like to get a job here as it seems to be impossible

Agreed

so then they should also forbid wearing mini skirts and shorts in muslims counties

In many such countries, miniskirts and shorts are banned

i feel sorry for the muslimas wearing hijab who would like to get a job here as it seems to be impossible

I think many Polish employers would find it unusual. There are however degrees of hijab and a light scarf wouldn't be such a problem in Warsaw.

Here any western woman that want to use an skirt (i am NOT talking about mini-skirts) can go to jail.

There are plenty of Muslim women who don't wear the hijab, so I don't buy this excuse about what Allah "wants." If she's that keen on having something on her head, she can wear a beret, at least that wouldn't draw as much attention in Poland.
