Moving back to Poland after 8 years in the UK (19 years old, currently studying HND in Business & Management)

So , some general info about myself. 19 years old, living in the UK from past 8 years. Currently studying HND in Business and Management, and next year will be my final year to finish off the degree. Recently, I was thinking about my future, mostly if it is a reasonable idea to come back to Poland. I am from a pretty average city called Bydgoszcz, but if I were to choose, I would love to live in Gdansk or Warsaw. Obviously I do like my life in the UK, as for example I could not afford things that I have compared with Poland but still, there something about Poland that makes me want to come back. I was 11 years old when I moved into UK, and my parent's reason for that mainly stated that, my future after completing the education can result in better job prospects. My education in Poland finished in the "5th Grade?" (5tej klasie podstawowki). The qualifications that I managed to achieve in the UK are GCSE's, BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Business, Level 3 Diploma in Financial Studies, and hopefully will have the HND, and maybe the Full Degree. I would like to know if it is possible to find a proper job in Poland without having Matura, or any sort of polish qualifications.

I've got an HND in Management. It's not a degree its a Higher National Diploma. You would need to go to university for another 2 or 3 years to get a degree. It would be classed as a degree in Poland, that's the reason why the top Polish Universities are ranked outside of the top 300 in the world rankings. Foreigners in Poland find jobs without Polish qualification and there are plenty of foreign firms looking to take on qualified staff with good English. Your UK qualifications and language skills should stand you head and shoulders over Polish applicants. Don't worry.

Don't think that Poland is the same now as it was 11 years ago. I've been here for 5 years and it has changed massively. An apartment in Poland will cost you upwards of 250,0000zl (50k pounds) and on a salary of 3-4,000 zl a month you won't be able to afford any sort of lifestyle. Also, bear it in mind that the UK has an unemployment rate of 6% compared to 11-12% in Poland.

If I were you I would go on to do a degree and then get some work experience for an International company in the UK first. Experience counts more then paperwork.

Seconded!

Also, here in Wroc, it seems the pollution on even the residential streets that have through traffic is worse than when I lived in London and had to walk along busy roads near the city centre. If Krakow's air pollution is worse than Wroclaw's, then I don't know what to say. I find myself trying not to breath here until I get back to the estate's greenery. I never recall this problem in my parts of England.

So , some gener

Study Business and Management in Poland only if you can get accepted to Warsaw University or Warsaw School of Economics. Other universities don't guarantee a job for graduates of Management.
