If you don't speak Polish to a decent level you are wasting your time. Speaking English won't help very much at all. There is the first problem, if you cannot overcome this problem you may as well go to Mars. Polish takes many years to learn, it's a difficult language and even after this time you will sound silly.

@Marsu: I bet this is an alibi to enter EU. First Poland, and then further West ;)

If that's true, I wouldn't blame him. I'd try to do the same, wouldn't you?

If is or not doesn't matter. The fact remains that it's a hard lingo and not speaking it reduces you to almost nothing in the job market.

@Roger: for sure but I think most are naive because they expect to be allowed to live/work everywhere in the EU once they have a Polish work permit ;).

@Marsu: obviously if no knowledge of another Slavic language (the op's case for instance), Polish is pure hell to learn but knowing the language is not enough to be able to live/work in Poland. There are other factors like getting work permit.

Yes and hence I say that this is the first obstacle I haven't given the next 9 because this should be enough to.understand that wobbling your head won't cut it.

@Marsu: sure! If an employer has to choose between a Pole and an Indian speaking some Polish pidgin, the choice shall be easy;)

Hi guys I am a marsupial ground borrowing animal, I am sick of working.in australia.where I am treated like road kill and becoming extinct. Can I get a visa to work in poland? Is there much.racism there, its just I look different than the avarage pole or european? Will they give me a job if I only speak the common marsupial language? Can I travel to other.EU countries? Thanks in advance.

wobbling your head won't cut it.

A crude racial stereotype, but funny.
