There are English speaking jobs in Poland.

to answer an earlier question, there are English speaking jobs in Poland, but you have to be in the right place or willing to move. Lodz, Warsaw and Gdansk regularly have English speaking jobs available and you don't need Polish. I have been in Poland for almost 3 years now and worked most of it. I am not saying it's easy because it's not, but you also have to be willing to step outside your chosen career. I did, I went from an Operations Director in the middle east to a semi manual job in Poland, yes the money is way different but it's livable and I love living in Poland.

you also have to be willing to try and learn the language, which is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I know the basics and that goes a.long way.

Always wondered about people doing such jobs in Poland.

My work is semi-manual when I service or startup equipment for example. From time to time you need to get down and dirty :) That's my favorite part!

I wish I had the ability to service anything, even putting up a shelf is too difficult for me :D

(we don't talk about the time involving having to call someone to replace some lightbulbs...)

Unlike I had originally planned, service is proving to have a bigger potential in Poland than sales of new equipment. Keep in mind, it is manual yet highly skilled work. But I just noticed the thread is about English speaking jobs and, well, not many English speakers offering the same services in my field besides myself.

No, most probably not - I think it's a fair assumption that many English speakers aren't really able to operate in that sort of field of both being manual and yet highly skilled.

There are numerous English speaking companies/jobs in finance circles and/or with international companies with large Polish-based operations/offices (especially in sales, dealing with international customers), where English is the primary language used within the company and with and among customers.

Isn't it easier to just learn Polish than to contort your life a*s over elbows so you can speak English?

I don't get it.

Neither do I! In the end, learning the target language will only facilitate matters eventually:-)

On CV review employees indicate and confirm good knowledge of English or at least average.
But don't compare your self to them. Most of companies owners or CO here are dumb.
I mean flawed educated, & that's the problem - you need to comprehend with them...
