in LOTZ

In what ? Personally I don't see how this move to Poland would be beneficial either to you and your family or to Poland.

Somebody's having a bad day...

The OP sounds a decent guy. I'm tired of answering questions about tax etc. Perhaps someone else would care to answer.

The OP sounds a decent guy.

I'm not saying he isn't but I don't think they will have a better life here than in India... or that Poland is desperately needing non-Polish speaking SAP consultants...

10.000 gross is ~7.000 net, that is ~1600 EUR.

He'll have the chance to travel for a couple of years, and as you may have noticed from the original message, he is being posted here by his Indian company.

Anyway, for what it's worth:

1. I will be getting workpermit and I think residence permit too. Will my wife can work as she is not holding any job. Which type of visa/work permit will she get.

No, unless her employer applies for a permit

2. I will be getting gross salary around 10000 PLN per month. Any idea how much will I get in Hand(Net). WHat will be deductions in this.

You'll end up with about 7 after tax and ZUS.

3. What are the expense of Child education in English school.

Quite a lot.

4. How much could I save and what will be an average expenses (rent, basic amenities, grossaries, travels)

You can live well and save on 7. Rent will be about 2.5.

5. My Wife is dental doctor from INDIA. Does she have any opportunity.

Probably, though she'll have to have her qualifications attested.

6. For an SAP Consultant howz scope in Poland. If we need to change over from current compnay to anohter how difficult it is.

Not so easy unless you have very desirable skills. Many large companies in Poland are rolling out SAP programmes at the moment but the market is fierce - if you learn Polish this will help

I'm telling him as It is, you're telling him some bul*shits about traveling...

he is being posted here by his Indian company.

So what ?

Travelling?? One day you'll sober up before posting and maybe contribute something that isn't negative. But evidently not yet.

and maybe contribute something that isn't negative.

You mean like fooling this guy that on 7k and with children and jobless wife, he will live well and save a lot ?
JonnyM  11 | 2607

fooling this guy

Do the maths. 7k, minus 2.5 for a flat. That leaves 5k for living - many families save on half that. And his wife's a dentist.

Somehow, I suspect you don't smile very much. Stop trolling and get a life.

The OP's asked for opinions on specific questions. Have you actually got anything constructive to say in this thread or do you just prefer to ineffectively snipe at other posters?

Anyway, judging by some of your posts in other threads, you aren't exactly a genius in financial matters, are you?

For goodness sake, guys don't turn this into "testosterone" competition. The facts are that 10 gross is a decent salary in Poland. Not fantastic, but decent. SAP market is growing in Poland, but so is availability of SAP skilled people, so it may not br easy to find job outside. Job for non Polish speaking wife? Very unlikely, she would have to learn at least basic Polish. If he lives comfortable but basic lifestyle (eating at home, not too much holiday travel, no luxury shopping or high maintenance car), then he should be able to save 2, maybe 2.5 BUT this excludes kids going to international school (polish schools are free, but the books and schooling aids hwve to be paid by parents). I would suggest to negotiate the deal to include schooling, lots of companies include this (being a Polish expat in South Africa and close to the rest of expat community I know a bit about international transfers). Same goes for medical insurance, rather ask to have this included. Will they pay for your family to fly home once a year? That's another standard one. Also - some companies pay what's called a "buy out", this is a bulk sum for a different in cost of leaving, usualy for duration of contract. Has this been offered to you? If yes, check the value, i imagine the difference in cost of leaving is substancial, our Indian and Pakistani expats that moved to South Africa got roughly equivalent of their annual salaries, and SA has zimilar cost of leaving as Poland. See what else you can get other than salary, all benefits will come in handy! Good luck!

Do you think people reading these forums are total idiots ? They can scroll up and see in #3 that you started this nonsense. Basically, I'm telling this guy about reality, you are feeding him with some unrealistic bullshi*s.

Anyway, judging by some of your posts in other threads

For example ?

you aren't exactly a genius in financial matters, are you?

Yeah, only about 100 light years ahead of you.

The facts are that 10 gross is a decent salary in Poland. Not fantastic, but decent.

Very true. It would be very good If he was single, without family to support. But If that money will have to be spent on several people they will have it probably worse than in India.

Job for non Polish speaking wife? Very unlikely, she would have to learn at least basic Polish.

His wife is a dentist, for non-EU people getting permission to work in a medical profession here is extremly difficult and would probably take years to complete... and sending non-Polish speaking kids to Polish public school would be a madness.

yes Please Grzegorz stop this, you are beeing jealous , 10 k in Lodz is a very decent salary and a good opportunity for Su to have an international experience 1 or 2 years.

Approximate budget to consider
Budget for rent : 2400zl
budget for English speaking school ( look in that section in PF) it will be expensive but you only have 1 child
Budget for Food : 400 zl
If you are already employed in SAP in Poland it should not be too hard to get other offers since you will already be based in Poland, you ll have to check with international companies such as Google, CapGemini etc.

I doubt your wife would find a job as a dental doctor if she does not master the language, in Warsaw maybe but in Lodz ?( Don't know if there is an English Speaking dental clinic?)

You and your wife can start attending intensive Polish lessons before you arrive it won't hurt..

Please note that the hardest thing to adapt to might be the weather ....

@Grzegorz_
Thanks for your input. But rather then leg pulling of each other its better that We/I get appropriate response rather then harsh replies.

@JhonnyM and Say11y
Thanks for your support and quick reply on my queries.

Generally our company gives 80 percent of the fees for Kids schooling.
Insurance I am not aware whetehr they pay full or its 50%. As such in other countries its 50 percent insurance to be paid by employee.

About internaitional opportunity, one thing I did not mentioned is that I am currently deputize in Switzerland. And now project tenure is over so I am being given choice for Poland-Lotz or back to India :) So do not know whicalmost same h choice to take.

Although from your reply it seems that I will not save much and income will almost same as I will have in INDIA.
Tough to decide...

Thanks

Tough to decide...

You can accept it for a year to try it out but I rather wouldn't think about it as a long-term...

one thing I did not mentioned is that I am currently deputize in Switzerland.

Life in Poland is like 4 times cheaper than in Switzerland and the weather is similar !

If your company sponsors 80 % percent of the International school fee for your child, you will indeed be able to save quite a lot.

Do you have time to spend a week end or 3 to 4 days in Poland with your family before you make a decision ?( you would be able to look at prices , surroundings, best areas for families in Lodz etc)

I'm not going to read it all, but listen... I 'm not even there, and I'm already thinking about killing some polish. What the f***ck is wrong with you? Are you all so stupid? Do you thing that everybody whos moving to Poland is going to steal your job? Or that it's about non-polish speakers? You're missing lot of thing for example that most of people here asking for something will work for company from their country speaking their language. Like me. It's not the first time, lot of people on this forum are writing bad things and act like they are really really cool knows everything and everybody from abroad is idiot. Anyway, it's intereting lot of polish is in Czech, and i didn't also please somebody to come here, but have no problem with it. I should think more about the moving because i have never ever meet with such a idiotic and nonsense opinions like here on this forum. Dont want to give advice? So shut up. Have bad day, jealous about somebody is going to earn more than you? So shut up again. ggggggggggggggs

I've got a feeling that you have problem with reading after yourself. With no doubt you are the one who wrote something about non-polish speakers which you polish don't need to work there. Yeah, I won't stay in one piece for a long time. Another forum-hero :) If you can't see, what's wrong here, you don't have to answer. Clearly you are the case I described in the post....didn't mentioned a name and you responded...got it? I guess that no...because I be no smart right? :D Dumb, bumb, we're dumbing it down... know the song? ;) Bye

Ota - in the above statement you attacked every Polish person in this forum. If you disagree with what someone is saying - please, be specific.

Most of us genuinely were giving advice to SO, even Grzegorz who is purely stating his opinion. He actually has a point - Poland has a lot of people who are already at right skill level and speak English - this is not about stealing jobs.

To SO - people re-locate for various reasons, saving is not always one of them. If this move gives you exposure and good career prospects without draining your pocket, GO FOR IT.

Just don't expect that you will be able to save a lot, because you may get disappointed. The fact that company is paying 80% of schooling is encouraging, but try to see what else you can get. Now - the times of foreign expats getting paid few times more that Poles with similar qualifications are long over, Poland is no expat heaven any more. But it's still a good "stop-over".

Ok, if it's like this, take what I wrote like my opinion. Because from my point of view, lot of posts here have the same meaning like, what are going to do here? we don't need you here!, you don't speak polish so what? stay at home! etc. ... maybe it's normal in Poland or in this forum, but I'm not affraid of calling it racism or xenophobia.... doesn't matter if it's opinion.... saying that holocaust is just a "story" is also opinion, but I guess you wouldn't take this easy, hm? me neither ;) Yeah it sounds like every polish people, beacuse it seems most of polish have this opinion ;) These are polish opinions, this is how i see it. Im retty sure, if something simillar was in czechforum.cz, and polish asking about work, prices.... answer like: we have lot of non-czech speaking workers. you aren't benefit for our country. bye :D Leave it. It was big mistake responding to this. Bye

Ota, i'm an expat myself and work for company that thrives on relocating people. They do it to exchange ideas and to expose people to change. But you can't expect every single change to be good for you, that's why you need to think it through. Yes, a lot of Polish people can be xenofobic, but honestly, replies to So were far from that, more on a sceptical side not understanding what he can get out of the move, because he is not going to make megabucks with salary he mentioned. I think you yourself are a bit prejudiced to Poles (perhaps you have a reason) but dont look for "dziura w calym" (a hole in a whole thing...), like I said earlier, this type of attitude has nothing to do with racism, rather lack of exposure to expat circles.

Now - the times of foreign expats getting paid few times more that Poles with similar qualifications are long over, Poland is no expat heaven any more.

Companies able to find professionals who can do expats jobs do not offer expatriate contracts.why would they?

If companies still send expats to Poland with great expat packages it means that they could not find any Pole with similar qualifications who would work in Poland and then go back to India, Germany France US with a career move to the top.
