Close Protection (Bodyguard) - popular line of work in Poland?

Seems as there is no section for the "hellos and hi's i would say it here. Hi everyone!

Is anyone in this line of work in Poland? The Girlfriend is Polish, and we are thinking of moving to poland. I am looking at Close Protection companys in Poland, But it sure is hard as none of the contacts I have have ever worked there!

On the off set chance, could anyone put me into the right direction!?

Well Pip, I can walk into a polski Sklep and buy bread etc. But walking into a bank, i may have a bit of a problem...... But im getting there! :)

Forget it - unless you're a well known international expert, there's no work here for you - you'll need to speak Polish as a bare minimum.

There's also the fact that in such an industry, Poles are unlikely to welcome outsiders - partially for fear of being shown up.

Thank-you for a honest reply D. I would of also thought it would be a good help to know Polish CPO's through networking etc. Finding contacts knowing the right people. But going by what you just, that might be pretty hard to do!

Are there any international organizations that you could contact? I'm guessing like with just about anything else in Poland, it would be best to start your own company. I've used APC in Wroclaw, it's run by a guy name Piotr. He speaks English.

so your best bet would be to start the company and not work for it. and of course pick up the language as much as possible.

I have heard of VIP Shadow Protection, Komandos and Gorski which work in High Environment 'HE' like Afghan.

That is another option however, the paperwork, "red tape", different laws are so much different that for a non local to go into self-employment would be a mountain to climb. It would be easier (for now) to find a company that has years of experience in the field already. Then after a few years, start up by myself. But of course what you have said would be ideal for a place where you know the know-how.

This industry is controled by ex-SB; you won't be able just to start your own firm just like that.

As I said, it would be a mountain to climb to start your own CP business.

Plenty of security companies around that aren't run by ex-SB types. The big ones might be, but the smaller local ones certainly aren't.

I know one guy who used to be in the business - no SB links, but had a habit of beating up drug dealers in his younger days.


In all honesty - if you have the money to start - then it won't be impossible. You might actually find that there's a demand for a reliable, non-Polish business which provides such services, especially for foreigners who might be loathe to trust Poles. I know that if I was dealing with something like this, I'd prefer to work with a British guy with experience than a Polish company.

The real difficulty will be attracting good clients - but if you target non-Polish clients, then you might just have a niche in the market.

It looks like this ian't yet popular in Poland.
Where it counts, political officials and high profile guests are provided with security from BOR-Beaurau of Government Protection.
It's a set of very well trained and skilled individuals in government duty.
There is few COPs I have heard about , but they r all ex-GROM( SEAL type of unit, but polish).
As for now,the market for COPs is still not in there. Unless u want to do it by urself and open up company and as a part of the business try to sell ur skills to.highly ranked CEOs of international companies...

I am doing CP in UK and it's much easier market, with all those Arabs around..

Did you check If you can offer such services in Poland without getting Polish certificates in this field, which are impossible to get without being fluent in Polish as it's not only shooting and such but also a lot of theory, law etc. ? I don't have time to verify it now but I have serious doubts.

Anyway, demand for such services is much smaller in Poland then potential supply.

Given that "security" in Poland tends to consist of "who can hire the guys with the biggest muscles"...


The industry is being deregulated as part of Gowin's reforms.


Plenty of demand from people who need professional security. I could introduce him to several clients in Poznan tomorrow if he wanted.

Bouncer job in Poland

I work as a bouncer at a club in Norway, whats the procedure of becoming a bouncer in Poland

As I'm almost sure there are in Norway, I'd imagine if you'd like to work as a "bouncer" in Poland, you'll require much the same

qualifications, e.g. size, experience, temperament along with the requisite training in order to become a bouncer.

Is there a certificate program for bouncing in Oslo? We'd be interested:-)
